I received a call from a friend to inform that the meeting will be in Aeon Station 18, Ipoh. It was a nice Saturday morning and we were told to be there by 11 am. So by 10.30 am I was out of the house driving to Station 18. Someone came to pick us and took us to the Kedai Makan Ban Mee 101. The last time I ate here was in January this year - 11 months ago!
A bowl of "Loh Mee" for my brunch!
Didn't take photo of what my friends ate.
We ordered these crispy deep fried stuff bean curd sheet to share.
A glass of lemon ginger drink for me.
After brunch, someone decided to go all the way to Aeon Big in Falim!
The distance is about 9.5 km and that is supposed to be the shortest way.
My first snapshot of a Christmas tree in Aeon, Falim.
A white Christmas tree with gold decorations.
After walking around and looking at all the items on sale, we stopped here.
Another friend treated us to this very silky smooth ice cream.
It was a record breaking shopping day for me. Never in my life had I shopped for 8 hours! I had to find a place to rest my tired feet while my friends continue to shop. I really take my hat off to them. Not once did they mention about tired feet. Sigh, maybe it is because of my age!

By the time I reached home, I quickly took my bath and off we went to Bercham for our dinner date with another group of friends. A dinner gathering of 5 friends at Soo Har Yee restaurant. Some friends wanted to try the food here.
Steamed mixed seafood platter.
A must order dish if you are eating here.
Stir-fry yee meen (pre-fried noodle) for 2 people.
Instead of rice, we ordered noodles.
Stir fry vermicelli for 2 people.
Stir fry sambal belacan paku-pakis (local fern)
We ordered their signature Mud Crabs In Bread.
The server brought the bread to our table for us to take photo before she cut open the bread.
Mud crabs (2 crabs) in sweet sour sauce inside the bread.
My first helping on a small plate.
And a piece of fine cottony bread to eat with the sweet sour sauce.
Total cost of dinner came to MYR 248, shared by 5 friends.

It was a long day but a very eventful day indeed!
It is not always that we get to enjoy such an eventful day!
That is what the Scriptures mean when they say that
God made Abraham the father of many nations.
God will accept all people in every nation
who trust God as Abraham did.
And this promise is from God himself,
who makes the dead live again and speaks of future events
with as much certainty as though they were already past.
(Romans 4:17, The Living Bible-TLB)
