On the 25th, the last Saturday of November, we have friends from another state visiting us. We were informed that they wanted to have dinner at Restoran Peng Yew in Lawan Kuda which is about 30 minutes drive from Ipoh. Once confirmed, hubby called to book a place and also the "san yu" fish. At certain times, the place can get very crowded, so it is better to reserved a table for 7 people. We have to travel in 2 cars.
Waiting at the traffic light...
Drunken "San Yu" Fish Soup
Our friends who reached earlier ordered the food and we needn't have to wait long to be served our dinner. Surprisingly, it was very quiet and not crowded at all.
The meat from the "San Yu" fish used for stir fry with spring onions and ginger. The texture very tender, cooked just right!
Stir fry celery
Sambal stinky beans.
Crunchy deep fried mantis prawns
Spicy and savoury pig's intestine, not everyone's kind of food.
I didn't touch this dish and half was left untouched.
The night was still young. After returning to Ipoh from Lawan Kuda, we went to have some beer and more chatting. We were seated opposite the Ho Yan Hor and Han Chin Pek Soo Museums. Later, we parted for the night and planned to meet up again the next day.
The next morning, hubby and I attended church.
Received a message to meet up for Assam Laksa lunch at Falim.
It was a nice cool day, perfect to enjoy some Assam Laksa.
Four bowls of Assam Laksa noodles and some fried goodies to be shared by 7 people.

Yes, dear friends, we are already God's children, right now,
and we can't even imagine what it is going to be like later on.
But we do know this, that when he comes we will be like him,
as a result of seeing him as he really is.
