After a hearty late lunch, we went back to the apartment to rest and some of us had a short nap. For the next few hours, food was far from our minds. After having been refreshed, we went for a drive up to Brinchang and then back to Tanah Rata.
7.20 pm
Driving around to check out the various development and high rise buildings.
The apartment we stayed in is in this area.
We spotted a newly opened Chinese restaurant nearby and they stop taking orders before 9.30 pm. By 8.30 pm, we were still not very hungry so we intended to order something light for dinner.
Deep fried chicken with lemon sauce.
I took this picture only after we have taken a few pieces of chicken.
Stir fried sweet potato leaves with shrimp paste.
We ordered a plate of single portion fried rice vermicelli to share.
And we order a plate of single portion wat tan hor - flat rice noodle with egg gravy to share.
But there seemed to be a misunderstanding between the one ordering the food and the one taking the order. Double portions of each type of noodle were brought to our table. We didn't want to make a fuss when they insisted that that was what was ordered and we graciously accepted the food and we ended up eating a plate of noodle each. We laughingly joked among ourselves that the heavy dinner will keep our bodies warm throughout the night. Lol!
Terminal Freesia (bus station) in Tanah Rata with Malaysia flags in preparation for the National Day.
According to the clock, this picture was taken just before 4 pm, when we were on our way back to the apartment after our late lunch.
This time the weather was warmer compared to our previous visits.
Fencing around another apartment building.
Morning glory plants growing on the fencing.
Sorry, the reflection on the car screen spoiled the view.
Tanah Rata Police Station.
National Flag on the fence and blue sky with white clouds.
Linking to Good Fences.
Then a loud voice will shout from heaven, "Come up!"
And they will rise to heaven in a cloud as their enemies watch.

ReplyDeleteThank you, Mimi! I missed taking a picture of the flowers on the fence when the lighting was better.

DeleteYour national flag is quite pretty, and very similar to ours!! The chicken in lemon sauce looks divine, I would not mind a double portion! The thing for me with high rise apartments is...what if the elevators break? I would never be able to get up and down, would have to camp out in front!
ReplyDeleteHa ha ha! Yes, that is my worry too!
DeleteI love the sweet potato leaves stifry!
