The day started off with a nice cool morning.
By 6:35 am, we were ready to drive to the park.
Sunrise at the park - 6:50 am.
Light pink sky
Sunrise partially blocked by dark clouds
Early morning walkers doing their rounds.
This dog was also at the park with its owner.
These pigeons landed on the grass next to the walking path.
I took a quick shot before they flew away.
One more photo before we go for our breakfast - 7:12 am.
Showing you the back portion of my small garden before I harvested the angled luffa.
Lots of white bitter gourds hanging from the vine. Some were ready to be harvested to provide for our dinner.
That evening, I cooked soup with angled luffa, cloud ears fungus, carrot, century egg and fish paste.
Deep fried white bitter gourd coated with salted egg yoke and dried prawns.
These were our dinner eaten with some steamed rice.
Linked to Saturday's Critters.
Look after each other so that not one of you
will fail to find God's best blessings.
Watch out that no bitterness takes root among you,
for as it springs up it causes deep trouble,
hurting many in their spiritual lives.
(Hebrews 12:15, The Living Bible-TLB)

DeleteI like how you cook your bitter gourd. Deep fried. Yummy.
ReplyDeleteYes, for a change I tried the deep fried style.
Deletedelicious dinner! how do you manage the oil after deep frying? I never know the proper way to dispose of used cooking oil so I don't dare to deep fry any dishes.
ReplyDeleteI always try using less oil, so far that is what I can do.
