Home Cooked Yam Rice & Yam Cake

One Wednesday, it was small group meeting in my house. I bought 2 big yam or taro from the roadside stall at the recreational park. One yam was for making yam cake or yam kuih for the small group meeting of about 13 members including the hosts (hubby and I).
This was the finished product ready to be served after the meeting.
This was after the yam cake has been cooled and ready for the placing of garnishing as in the first photo.

The 2nd yam, I used it to make yam rice the day after the small group meeting.
I had visitors and I cooked the yam rice for brunch.
We each had a big bowl of yam rice.  I love yam rice.
A few hours later, we went out for our Chinese rojak snack (fruits salad).
We also ordered 3 crispy crackers and topped with the rojak sauce.
Japanese carps at the Big Red Strawberry Farm in Cameron Highlands.
Love to see the colourful Japanese carps.
They also have Guinea Fowls at the farm.
They do not have pretty face but they have pretty polka dot feathers.

Linking to Saturday's Critters.

He will cover you with his feathers.
He will shelter you with his wings.
His faithful promises are your armor and protection.
