Dry Curry Noodles At Kedai Kopi Yee Fatt, Ipoh

This was a Sunday morning. We were early and decided to have breakfast before going to church.

I suggested dry curry noodle at Kedai Kopi Yee Fatt.
We were one of the early customers. Plenty of empty tables.
Only a few tables were occupied.
Halfway through our breakfast, the place was filled up.
Hubby ordered a cup of unsweetened black coffee.
I didn't order any drink because I had plain water in the car.
We ordered dry curry noodles, with thick curry gravy.
(our preferred noodle, chicken curry and bbq pork)
When we reached home after church, our neighbour was waiting for us with the above for our lunch.
She bought for us a packet of nasi lemak, 2 pieces of yam cake, and....
2 packets of sweet porridge (bubur chacha).
Good thing we decided to return home straight from church.
I forgot where I took this snapshot of these Spider lily flowers.

A dear friend sent me the following photos that she took on her morning walk.

A pair of garden snails.
At one time, I used to have problem with garden snails in my garden. They will eat up all the leafy vegetables and tiny seedlings. Good thing, I no longer have this problem.

And now just as you trusted Christ to save you,
trust him, too, for each day's problems;
live in vital union with him.

Breakfast At Bercham Great Wall Kopitiam, Ipoh

We had a breakfast appointment with friends.

After our morning walk, we went to pick up our friends for breakfast. The first place we went to was closed. The 2nd place (popular Bercham curry noodle) we went to, there was a long queue waiting. We then drove to the Bercham Great Wall Kopitiam. The place was also packed but we managed to get a table for 4 people.
A friend and I ordered steamed rolled noodle (Hong Kong chee cheong fun). For filling, I chose prawns with celery. The sambal is very nice. Hubby and a friend ordered fried noodle. The fried noodles came late and we forgot to take snapshot. A friend bought the following cakes or kuih from another stall for us to share.
Steamed tapioca cake. We like this kuih.
Yam cake.
Pulut bakar (3 pieces, 2 eaten).
Pulut rice with grated coconut and sambal filling wrapped with banana leaf.
2 cups of hot Latte coffee and 2 glasses of warm water.
For lunch, we had groundnuts (boiled in water and salt).
For dinner, we had leftover stuffed white bitter gourd, wild boar curry bought from an Indian rice stall and home cooked broccoli with minced pork + fish paste.
Wall mural: Traditional game played by children.
We used to play this game when we were kids. I think most kids these days no longer play this game. They are more into electronic games, hardly sweating playing outdoor games.

Linking to Monday Mural.

So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord,
continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him,
strengthened in the faith as you were taught,
and overflowing with thankfulness.
See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow
and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition
and the elemental spiritual forces of this world rather than on Christ.

Steamed Fish, Blanched Broccoli & Porridge For Dinner

Looks like the rain is back. The weather is much cooler now and we only need to use the fan to sleep.

Sunrise at 7:20am.
Hubby stopped to buy a packet of mee goreng or fried yellow noodle and he requested for sambal to be added. RM2 for this noodle.
Hubby's breakfast: Fried noodle and milo.
My breakfast: Curry puffs and milo.
I bought 4 lemons at RM1.80 per piece.
We love to drink lemon juice with honey on hot days and it is soothing to the throat.
~~~~~
Lunch from our neighbour.
Chive dumplings or chai kuih.
Yam cake with lots of crushed peanuts.
2 tubs of tong sui (bubur cha cha).
Sponge cake.
~~~~~
Home cooked dinner.
Simple cooking to avoid sweating in the kitchen on a hot day.
Blanched broccoli, drizzled with garlic oil, oyster and soy sauce.
Steamed grouper fish slice with ginger strips.
Drizzled with garlic oil, oyster and soy sauce.
Plain rice porridge
Hubby likes to add fermented bean curd to his bowl of porridge.
This porridge is light and easy to digest.
Those with good appetite will need more than 1 bowl.

Laziness brings on sleep,
and an appetite for rest brings on hunger

Lovely Sunrise On 72nd Day MCO

This is one of the days that I woke up feeling fresh and energetic. And when I stepped outside for our morning walk, the sunrise was bright and beautiful. It seemed like the sky was smiling down on us.
Sunrise at about 7:00 am.
7:30 am
That morning, hubby needn't have to buy breakfast.
Friend A blessed us with the above steamed yam cake.
And friend B blessed us with 2 steamed buns and all I have to do is to warm them up and made a pot of Sabah tea without sugar.
~~~~~
Lunch
Hubby and I took a walk to the nearby food court to buy food from the Indian stall.
Social distancing seating arrangement.
We bought 1 packet of Indian rice to share. The packet consisting of white rice, prawns sambal, cabbage, fried fish and 2 fried chicken drumsticks. This stall is known for its fried chicken.
~~~~~
Dinner
I boiled corn soup with carrot, wolf berries, and chicken breast meat.
This is left over stewed chicken with chestnut and mushrooms from the previous dinner. It tasted just as delicious after being kept in the fridge overnight.
Small portion of steamed multi grain rice for hubby and no rice for me.
Simple home cooked dinner for 2 people.

Blessings On 71st Day MCO

I have not watched television for a long time but because of the MCO, I have started to watch Chinese dramas. Whenever I have the time to spare in the evening after dinner, I will either watch drama/movie on the TV or Youtube. Currently, I have been watching Singapore dramas and I have finished watching dramas such as "The Last Madame" and "Titoudao".

"The Last Madame" tells the story of the last brothel owner in Singapore in the 1940s. "Titoudao" is about the true story of a popular Chinese opera performer in the 50s and 60s in Singapore. One evening, I stayed up late to watch the last few episodes of "Titoudao" and I only went to bed at about 2:30 am. After 4 hours plus of sleep, I woke up about 7 am in time for my morning walk with hubby.
Sunrise at 7:13 am before we set out on our morning walk.
Self-propagated Cockscomb and Balsam plants outside my house.
These do not need much care.
New plants will sprout out from the ground after the old plants are removed.
Very soon these cockscombs will grow big and heavy.
~~~~~
Lunch
A friend called to inform that she will be sending something over for our lunch.
This is homemade noodle and fried by her partner.
Delicious lunch for hubby and I.
~~~~~
Dinner
After my afternoon nap, I woke up to cook dinner.
Stewed chicken with dried mushrooms and chestnuts.
Other ingredients used: sesame oil, garlic, black soy sauce, light soy sauce & oyster sauce.
Home grown snake long beans sauteed with garlic and roast pork.
I added in one home grown red okra harvest from the garden.
Dinner for 2 people.
Hubby had steamed rice and I had oat porridge.
After dinner, another friend called to inform that she will be sending the above taro or yam cake to my house. We will be keeping the yam cake for the next day's breakfast.
Thank God for blessings us through our friends.

Yes, God will give you much so that you can give away much,
and when we take your gifts to those who need them
they will break out into thanksgiving and praise to God for your help.
