This particular Sunday afternoon, our regular group just could not wait to catch up with one of our members who has been away in Australia for more than three months. We want to take her to a new place which she has missed while she was away. So after church service, we drove to Menglembu town for our lunch and to enjoy our close knitted fellowship.
Phew! We managed to park our cars and to get ourselves a table.
Lunch hour, peak time. Location: Jalan Tranchell, Menglembu, Ipoh.
To order food: we have to queue up, pick our choice and place the order. Very orderly.
The queue moved quite fast. Once our order is taken, we went back to our table and ordered our drinks.
Drink service very fast and good, and exact to our order, no mistake.
Chilling and refreshing lemonade, just right for a hot day.
A bowl of ice kacang...too late! Before camera can be ready, one-third of ice kacang gone. MYR3.00 (small bowl)
Specially ordered ice-kacang: red beans, canned sweet corn, friend peanuts, evaporated milk, gula melaka syrup (palm sugar syrup) and finely shaved ice. MYR3.00 (small bowl).
A bowl of cendol ice special just for me: regular cendol with red bean and sweet corn. MYR3.00 (small bowl).
And this, jelly with mango. Thumbs up! Next visit, I will definitely order this. MYR4.00.
A small plate of rojak while waiting for our noodles. Rojak not bad, but we prefer our regula Jelapang rojak. (sorry, too many items, I cannot remember all the prices, next time must get a helper).
Laksa - cannot compare to the roadside Falim laksa.
A bowl of goodies stuffed with fish paste.
A bowl of curry noodle with fried goodies.
And lastly, a plate of dried stirred curry (kon loh kali) noodle with fried goodies. For this, must ask for extra curry paste for added oomph.
And let us consider how we may spur
one another on toward love and good deeds.
Let us not give up meeting together,
as some are in the habit of doing,
but let us encourage one another -
and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
(Hebrews 10:24-25, New International Version-NIV)
Pls bring me there, hehe...
