Last month, we had a dinner date with some old friends. Initially, I thought of going to a Chinese restaurant but it is usually very crowded at peak dinner time. So we ended up at Pete Corner in Menglembu. This was the first experience for my friends at this place.
Below were our orders for our dinner.

This mini portable fan has been with me for more than 38 years.
It was presented to me by my hubby when I was working in Kuala Lumpur.
Now I am still using this fan in my kitchen.

In the last days, the mountain of the LORD's house
will be the highest of all - the most important place on earth.
It will be raised above the other hills,
and people from all over the world will stream there to worship.
(Micah 4:1, NLT)
Yummy, those meals look delicious
ReplyDeleteThe hill looks incredible

ReplyDeleteHa ha! Between the 2, I will chose Delight anytime!
DeleteWow, that fan, 38 years ++ & is still working, that's a treasure to keep. That abandoned house looks spooky, eh?
ReplyDeleteYes Irene, surprisingly the fan is still working very well. I wouldn't want to go near that house.
DeleteThose last two photos are especially beautiful, and what an amazing fan, to still be in working order. Quality like that seems to be a thing of the past.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Cranberry. This old fan out last some of the newer fans we had.
DeleteLike the food photos and really like the old fan. It is a real collectors item. It is amazing that it is still running. They just do not make things today like they used to. Back then things were made to last. Thanks for sharing all of the pictures.
ReplyDeleteI agree about old things made to last because I have newer fans that are no more working.
DeleteLovely dishes and times with friends are to be treasured too, Nancy!
ReplyDeleteThose limestone cliffs are fascinating too!
Have a lovely day!

DeleteWOW Nancy, that fan was built to last. Often your food looks so exotic, but these meals look like home. Thanks for sharing one of your treasures and I hope that you will return again soon.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Tom. I would definitely love to return to your Tuesday Treasures.
DeleteI always love your foodie posts. I would love to tag along with you on one of your dinners. Yummy.
ReplyDeleteLove that old fan. I have an electric razor that I've had since the early 70s and it still works. I use it once a week.
Have a fabulous day. ☺
Thank you, Sandee for being my faithful foodie fan. Have a fabulous day too!
DeleteI will go for the chicken instead of the lamb...
ReplyDeleteHello Sharon, not many will go for the lamb. Most will choose chicken.
DeleteGreat photos of the limestone hill. The food looks like similar to what we see here. Your fan is a treasure and like someone said, they don't make anything to last now and everything ends up at the dumps or recycling. It's too bad.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day Nancy.
Hugs,
JB
Thank you, Julia. It is so true that new things do not last like the old things. Have a great day too!
DeleteThe hills really stand out, Nancy!
ReplyDeleteThank you, William. Have a great day!
DeleteI prefer to eat lamb than chicken. So sad to see houses being abandoned. Can't the owner sell it instead if they don't want it?
ReplyDeleteHi Mun, I love both lamb and chicken. It is a waste to just abandoned the property.
DeleteHi Nancy - wonderful dinner that you had with friends - those are the best times! Always sad to see abandoned houses. It always makes me wish houses could tell their stories. The limestone cliffs are amazing. Thank you for visiting me - new follower :) Karen @ Beatrice Euphemie

DeleteI came to get my unusual food fox and instead found this verry American and normal (for me) food. Still looks yummy. And that cliff-wow. What is in the bottom of it-it looks like there is a little cave or something? Hugs to you.
ReplyDeleteAt the bottom of the cliff is a cave which is turned into temple.
