Recently there was a joint birthday celebration for 2 friends. Once again it was a great opportunity to meet up to have a time of wonderful fellowship and to enjoy great food. Restoran Kim Wah was the chosen venue for the special occasion. The following dishes were ordered for 10 people.
Poached chicken.
Fried prawns
Roast piglet
Conditments to add flavour to the food.
Steamed grouper fish.
Assorted vegetables
Fried rice
Canned longan with ice.

For the past few months, the langsat, duku langsat, etc. are in season.
Hubby and I have been enjoying kilos of these sweet sourish fruits.
The cheapest price we have enjoyed so far is 3 kilos for RM10.
\One day a friend sent me a picture of a scorpion she found hidden among the langsat she bought. It was good that she or anyone of her family members was stung by the scorpion.
Another time, she found these among the langsat she brought home. Another friend's husband was bitten by a scorpion and it was a very painful experience. So for all langsat lovers, do be careful and look out for these when you reach out for the langsats.
Linking to Saturday's Critters.
And God has reserved for his children the priceless gift of eternal life;
it is kept in heaven for you, pure and undefiled,
beyong the reach of change and decay.

Thank you, DIMI! Enjoy your new week!
DeleteI enjoyed all the food photos. Everything looks delicious. I would eat everything, lol. It would be scary to find dangerous scorpions amongst the fruits. So glad your friend didn't get bitten and that her husband survived his earlier bite.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Joyful! So thankful for the warning about the scorpions.
DeleteThe scorpions must find other bugs to eat among the langsats, i would guess the fruit needs a thorough washing before eating to get rid of anything like that on them.
ReplyDeleteHope the birthday celebrants had a wonderful time!
The scorpions may be feeding on the ants because langsats have lots of ants. Have to be very careful and keep our eyes open before we reach out for the langsats.
DeleteI was enjoying all of the food photos until the last few with the scorpions. That's scary to think you could buy some langsat and have that unpleasant surprise come with it.
ReplyDeleteUnpleasant and unwanted free gifts for the langsat.
Delete...good food with friends.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Tom! That is the best combination!
