The day started with a lovely sunrise and I have taken the following snapshots to share here.
Sunrise at 6:45 am.
If you look closely, there is a man fishing at the pond.

For breakfast, we shared this bowl of pork noodles and we each had a Chinese cruller to go with our unsweetened black coffee.
These were harvested from my garden except the short okras.
There is now some short okra plants growing in my garden.
I used all the above okras and luffa to cook this dish with prawns and meat slices.
Interestingly, the short okras are very crunchy.
I didn't cook any rice but fried a plate of rice vermicelli to eat with the above veggie dish for our dinner.
We have planted some groundnuts and they are not ready for harvest yet.
Meanwhile, I will enjoy their tiny yellow flowers.

DeleteLong okras, fat okras, red okras... love that there's such a variety! I've yet to see any of these in real life.
ReplyDeleteWhenever I see something new I am interested and want to try growing them. Always on the lookout for seeds of new veggies which I haven't grown before and which we don't normally find in the market or stores.
