After a hot spell, it rained this afternoon and it did help to lower the temperature. It also help to soften the ground to make it easier for me to do some weeding in the garden.

Sweet sour pork (ko lo yoke)
Curry fish head with assorted vegetables in a clay pot.
Sweet potato leaves stir fried with spicy prawn paste.

Total cost of dinner for 6 people - RM 97.50
Purple hearts plant from my garden.
It is not flowering because it was not getting enough sunlight.

So you see, it isn't enough just to have faith.
You must also do good to prove that you have it.
Faith that doesn't show itself by good works is no faith at all
- it is dead and useless.

DeleteNancy,
ReplyDeleteAfter a rain is a good time to work in the yard/garden. Our east Tennessee soil is red clay and it's like trying to break rock. A wet ground helps but it's still very difficult to cultivate. I haven't done anything in a long time but when I do grow anything it's usually in planters. Beautiful sunrise and it sounds like you had a lovely evening/dinner out. Have a wonderful Wednesday!
Thank you, Cathy. Most of my plants are grown in pots. Happy day!
DeleteI love omelettes, so easy for lunch. I add a lot of chives and a bit of any cheese - delicious! Wishing you lovely autumn days Nancy!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Riitta. I haven't tried adding cheese.
DeleteIt's morning here and I've not had breakfast yet. This post has my mouth watering for some of each dish. Yummy.
ReplyDeleteThank you for joining the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday, Nancy. ♥
Thank you, Sandee. Have a beautiful day!
DeleteLove all the dishes! Each pax only costs S$5.40, such value for money, with curry fish head some more.
ReplyDeleteOver here its about RM16.25, still consider reasonable.
DeleteThese Purple Hearts are impressive and unusual!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Ginny.
DeleteThat's a very comforting and delicious meal. I want to try some sweet potato leaves.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Angie. The tender leaves are the best.
DeleteTasty dinner! Don't think I have seen a real life purple heart plant before.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Mun.
DeleteBeautiful purple hearts! The omelet and all dishes look so good! Yum yum !
