I am sharing 2 days' short posts in this post.
DAY #1
Sunrise at 7:22am.
Morning sky at 7:23am.
Sunrise at 7:33am.
Green brinjals (eggplants) and ladies fingers (okra) from my garden.
I steamed all the green brinjals and ladies finger for dinner.
Drizzled with garlic oil, oyster and soy sauce.
Boiled Chinese Herbal Soup with pork soft bones.
Passed a portion of the soup over the fence to our neighbour.
This was a no rice dinner.
DAY #2
Sunrise shot on our morning walk.
Stewed pork shoulder with potatoes, carrots and tomatoes.
Home grown angled luffa cooked with dried shrimps and egg.
Steamed rice for hubby.
For me, I ate toast with the stew.
Yums! I really enjoyed my dinner.

Oh, the cake looks so good. Are those palm trees? The sky is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Ginny. Yes, those are palm trees.
DeleteThe sunrise on the 2nd day looks gorgeous. I love that loaf cake...so tender and soft. The herb soup with pork ribs looks very tempting too, Nancy.

DeleteLovely looking cake.
ReplyDeleteSunrise photos are lovely as always Nancy.

DeleteI'm rather intrigued by your green brinjal. I have not seen it here, much less eat it. We've started harvesting and eating my girl's brinjal - very nice, sweet and very thin skin unlike some that we buy outside.
ReplyDeleteThe butter cake looks very nicely done and your stewed pork looks very good too!
Home grown are nicer and sweeter because they are freshly harvested.
DeleteI´ve never seen okra, and wow, from your garden, too! Green eggplants are unknown here, too.
ReplyDeleteGreat sunrise on day #2!
Great neighborhood with all the sharing of food.
Thank you, Iris. Green eggplants is rare and not sold in the market.
DeleteBeautiful photos of the sunrise!
ReplyDeleteThe steamed eggplant and okra looks delicious, as does that cake!

DeleteMy pick would be the stewed pork shoulder with potatoes, carrots and tomatoes dish because I just love to eat potatoes, followed closely by the luffa dish. I prefer to eat toasts than rice too! 😀 How many slices of toast did you eat for dinner?
ReplyDeleteI think I had 2 pieces of toast. Very filling because I ate the potatoes and carrot too.
Delete...the sunrise on your morning walk is a beauty!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Tom.
