I was up early. While waiting for hubby to wake up, I swept the front of my house.
Every morning there will be some dry leaves and flower petals on the floor shed by the Bauhinia Kockiana plants.
Sunrise at 7:20am and pigeons on the telephone cables.

Hubby wanted to have breakfast in Menglembu but found the shop closed. We decided to drive out to town and ended up at a coffee shop selling Hakka noodles. The first time we came here was in 2018 and after about 4 years, we didn't know what to expect.
Chinese tea for hubby and kopi-C for me.
As you can see the Chinese tea is very diluted.
I ordered the above ingredients for us to share.
1 piece stuffed brinjal or eggplant and 4 pieces of stuffed bean curd sheet. The stuffed bean curd sheet were cold and no longer crispy.
2 fish balls, 2 meat balls and 1 stuffed non-fried tofu.
2 plates of Hakka noodle with pork topping.
The only thing we enjoyed here is the noodle. I don't know why I chose this place because on our drive back home, I remembered another place which serves much better Hakka noodle. So, this 2nd visit will be our last.

And remember, it is a message to obey, not just to listen to.
So don't fool yourselves.
For if a person just listens and doesn't obey,
he is like a man looking at his face in a mirror;
as soon as he walks away, he can't see himself anymore or
remember what he looks like.
But if anyone keeps looking steadily into God's law for free men,
he will not only remember it but he will do what it says,
and God will greatly bless him in everything he does.

DeleteI have not eaten Hakka noodles yet. Is it made of wheat flour?
ReplyDeleteI think so but not sure it is 100% wheat or a mixture of other flours.
DeleteI like the sight of Hakka noodles with topping. Since you've enjoyed eating it, they probably taste good as well.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed the Hakka noodle with topping.
DeleteToo bad you didn't like this restaurant, but I can see your point.

DeleteI've had disappointing meals before. It's a disappointment, but really the only way to weed out the bad places. We've started eating out a bit for breakfast, and have done take out this last year, but most places we liked before Covid have changed and are a disappointment now. I prefer my own cooking best, when I'm up to it. We live in blocks and blocks of houses, so I never see the horizon from the house to view great sunsets and sunrises. Yours are always a pleasure to see.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Yvonne. We used to eat out whenever I don't feel like cooking. During the months of Covid lockdown, we had home cooked meals plus take away food. Now with lockdown lifted, we still have home cooked meals but once in a while we will eat out. We usually have breakfast outside and home cook for dinner.
