This was the 2nd day I hurt my back while gardening.
No morning walk but I can still sweep the floor and water the plants.
Sunrise at 6:50am.
Hubby went out to the nearby shop for his breakfast and I stayed home. I asked him to get for me a polo bun sandwich for my breakfast.
Home made milo and polo bun sandwich.
The polo bun has a piece of ham and an egg.

Tomato plants from my garden.
One plant has started to flower.
Another one has buds.
~~~~~
Pre-CNY gifts from friends and neighbour.
Hubby's friend came from Sitiawan and gave us this box of Tambun biscuits from Penang.
A friend made glutinous rice cake (nian gao) and gave us 2.
We received the above from our neighbour: A box of mandarin oranges, a can of abalone and a pactket of Chinese sausages.
~~~~~
No cooking that evening, so we eat out.
We had wonton noodle in Buntong village. We have been patronizing this place for 30 over years.
We ordered 2 plates of wonton noodle (dry version) with pork strips, gravy and fat beansprouts.
2 bowls of minced pork wonton dumplings with extra dumplings.
An antique motorcycle at the Gopeng museum.
Took this snapshot when we last visited in 2015.
Charm can be deceptive and beauty doesn't last
but a woman who fears and reverences God shall be greatly praised.

Wowwww!!! So blessed! Gifts for CNY are pouring in! I miss the Chinese sausages from my friend in KL, her hubby in the meat business. Their own-made Chinese sausages are wine-infused, so very nice and not so hard! Haven't had a polo bun for a long time now - the one I had was kosong, nothing inside.
ReplyDeleteThis polo bun stall was formerly in town but has shifted to our regular coffee shop. Now I can enjoy the different types of polo bun sandwich every now and then. Sometimes I will order the kosong polo bun too.
DeleteThe niangao looks so good! Love those sausages too. You are a lucky one having generous neighbours all the time.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Angie. Yes, feeling so blessed with generous neighbours and friends.
DeleteInteresting to 'kiap' the polo bun like that, sweet and savoury at the same time.
ReplyDeleteI didn't recognise that as WTM with the taugeh hehe.
Yes, sometimes I will just order the plain polo bun but once in a while I enjoy having the polo bun sandwich. Usually wonton mee will have choy sum but possibly Buntong is famous for taugeh, they use taugeh. Maybe I should interview the lady boss one day to find out. Lol!
DeleteSorry about your back! The food looks interesting again.
ReplyDeleteNearly got such a bun today, too, but it looked old and fatty... Had a boring slice of bread with cheese instead.
Thank you, Iris. My back is almost back to normal. Just have to be careful from now on..
Delete...on this cold and dark winter morning your tomato flowers are a wonderful sight!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Tom. I hope they will turn into tomatoes.
DeleteDelicious foods :) thanks for your sharing...
ReplyDeleteThank you and have a great day.
Delete...ps, thanks for sharing the motorbike!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Tom for hosting.
DeleteThe food looks delicious.
ReplyDeleteThank you, RR.
DeleteI am very curious about most of those items....even the vintage motorcycle.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Annie.
DeleteThat breakfast bun looks good Nancy. I'm trying different types of noodles but I haven't found the one that I really like yet.
ReplyDeleteCruisin Paul
Thank you, Paul. I hope you will find your favourite noodle soon.
DeleteOh the food. Delicious. I would love to eat with you and your husband.

Thank you, Sandee. You are most welcome. Have a beautiful day.
DeleteYour post makes me so hungry - Luckily we will have dinner very soon. Lovely tomato flowers! Looks forwards to saw mine :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Villrose. I am hoping to see some tomatoes from my plants.
DeleteHola Nancy. Espero que tu espalda se mejore pronto. La comida siempre se ve sabrosa y apetece probarla. Es una maravilla disfrutar de lis tomates en flor. Aquí hace mucho frío y aún tardaremos un poco en ver flores. Besos.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Lola.
DeleteVery moody skies.
ReplyDeleteThank you, William.

DeleteThe Polo Bun Sandwich looks good And so does your Wonton Noodle dinner. Hope that you are taking enough rest for your back. Please take good care. Nice things gifts from your friends. Have you grown tomatoes before? I don't seem to remember reading you harvesting tomatoes before.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Mun. My back is almost back to normal. Yes, I have grown tomatoes before but I think it was before I started blogging.
DeleteSometimes my back hurts, too, so i am praying yours is healed and stays that way. Those are pretty skies, i always like the way your plants and garden look.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Mimi. I also pray that your back will also remain good and strong.
DeleteMe encanta ver tus flores de tomate en el jardín. Tienes muy buenos amigos. Besos.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Teresa.
