Rain or shine, we must have our breakfast. On this particular morning, we want to return to Double Three Cafe in Menglembu new township for our breakfast.
I ordered claypot noodle (yee mee). Yee mee is pre-fried noodle.
Ingredients: Yee mee, napa cabbage, minced meat balls, fish paste, fish cake and 1 egg.
Hubby ordered wanton mee with stewed pork leg.
The wanton mee with beansprouts, minced meat and sauce. It was served with a plate of pickled green chili.
Stewed pork leg with dried chili.
Freshly fried Chinese doughnut (ma keok and hum chim peng). Customers will be waiting at the stalls for these fast selling fried Chinese crullers and doughnuts.

A friend recommended Public House Food Court to us. It is at Jalan Medan Ipoh 2, Taman Ipoh Timur.
Hubby ordered flat rice noodle with egg gravy (wat tan hor).
I ordered stewed pork rib with peanuts. It came with 2 pieces of tofu and 1 hard boiled egg.
And a plate of white rice with a few pieces of sliced cucumber.
We don't know if we will return because this place is quite far from our house.
An old fashioned house front with pre-war designs in Penang.
Don't go to war without wise guidance;
there is safety in many counselors.
(Proverbs 24:6, The Living Bible-TLB)
The old fashion house with its colonial facade looks artistic, i hope they preserve & maintain them well. Long time i didn't eat ma keok and ham chim peng....yummmzzz!

DeleteFried stuff is always best eaten almost straight from the wok.
ReplyDeleteAt this stall, there is no chance for the fried stuff to grow cold. All snatched up once they are out of the wok.
DeleteBuena comida. Besos y Feliz Navidad.
