Dinner Gathering At Restoran Chuen Kah Fook, Menglembu

Our last foodie outing for this group of friends was in September, 2019. One of our friends fell and broke a bone in her leg and our foodie outing was put on hold waiting for her to recover. Now that our friend is able to move about slowly on her own, we resumed our foodie outing again and this time we planned a dinner in Restoran Chuen Kah Fook, Menglembu. 

Braised chicken and pig's stomach in clay pot. This is a favourite and their signature dish. Even those with weak gums will enjoy this dish.

Fish head curry with bean curd puffs and assorted vegetables.

Yam or taro basket filled to overflowing with assorted treasures.

Steamed Pork Belly with preserved vegetable (mui choy).

Baby Kai Lan (Chinese kale) with ginger juice.

Total cost of dinner came to RM 138.70 for 7 people.

After this delightful dinner, we are looking forward to the next dinner in a few week's time.

Dinner At Restoran Sun Hung Ting, Falim

We used to patronize this restaurant quite regularly before it shifted to its new location. Finally, this is our first time having dinner in the new restaurant. We have been craving for our favourite dishes so we ordered the following dishes for 4 people.

Sambal belacan stinky beans with minced meat.

There is always a temptation to eat more rice with this dish.

Drunken grouper slices and wood fungus soup.

This is another of our favourite dish.

Sourish stewed pork leg with daikon, very appetizing dish.

Fried tofu with minced meat.

A delightful dinner for 4 people at reasonable price.

Dinner At Kang Wan Seafood Restaurant, Falim.

The day started just like any ordinary day with a lovely sunrise.

 Watching the sun rise at the park - 7.30 am.

 That evening, while driving to the restaurant for dinner, we spotted smoke and thought it was some dried leaves that caught fire some distance from the traffic light junction.

We were seated in front of Kang Wan Seafood Restaurant (near Fresh Hotel, Falim) when the trees next to the smoke caught fire. Fanned by the strong wind, the fire got bigger.

The flame shot sky high and most of the people from the row of shop houses rushed out to see what was going on. Someone called the fire station.

The burning trees were near the road and cars were still passing by.

The cars had to slowed down due to the thick smoke partially blocking the drivers' view.

After some time, the fire seemed to have burned out by itself.

To avoid the ashes and dust carried by the strong wind, we moved from the front to a table inside the restaurant. We needn't have to wait long for the food to be serve as we were the early customers.

Thai chili sauce poured over the pork knuckle.

Sweet potato leaves cooked in a clay pot @ RM 10.

Our dinner for 4 people including rice and drink @ RM 77.
