Early Morning Breakfast At Restoran Choi Yuen, Ipoh Garden.

Our friends love dim sum and almost everyday, they will be having dim sum for breakfast. One of their regular place is the Restoran Chooi Yue Dim Sum. One morning, hubby and I were finishing our morning walking exercise when hubby received a call from this couple. The wife of the couple call to inform us that they were waiting for us at "Chooi Yue". When my hubby relayed the message to me, without inquiring further, my mind straight away presumed that it was the "Chooi Yue" dim sum!

The place she meant was the coffee shop "Kedai Kopi Sin Choy Yuen" which is near to the recreational park! We used to joke about their daily affair with dim sum so much so that my mind will automatically connect them with dim sum when a similar name was mentioned. Today's post is one of our breakfast outings when we had dim sum breakfast with this couple.
Minced meat dumplings or gao zi dumplings with special ginger strips sourish dipping sauce.
2 egg tarts
2 crispy yam or taro puffs with mayonnaise sauce.
2 minced meat with century eggs bean curd rolls.
The minced meat with century eggs rolls are best eaten with mayonnaise and chili sauce.
Fried wontons with mayonnaise sauce.
These are steamed fish balls topped with sweet sourish sauce.
2 steamed BBQ meat buns
A very filling breakfast for 4 people.

Thank you, Aislynn for sending and sharing the critters photos with me.
Crickets bought from the pet shop for feeding the injured bird my friend rescued from the stray cats.
A big grasshopper dropped by her garden for a visit.
Surprisingly, the grasshopper didn't mind her going near to snap its photos.
It must have eaten its fill of green leaves and stopped to take a rest from the hot sun.
Just look at the strong hind legs!

Enjoying Our Dinner At Wan Li Xiang Roasters On A Rainy Day

It had been raining on and off for the whole day. Just after a heavy downpour, it was time for us to set out looking for dinner. Once we have all settled into the car, we decided on the venue for our dinner. The air was cool and fresh, and we were all feeling hungry and had a good appetite for the dinner at Wan Li Xiang Roasters in Pasir Puteh. So, I supposed the one who ordered the dishes got carried away, but none of us objected to the dishes ordered.
Deep fried tofu with the inside smooth and soft, cooked with Loofah gourd.
BBQ pork (char siew) & roasted pork (siew yoke).
Sweet potatoes leaves with spicy prawn paste (sambal belacan).
Stewed pork rib with bean curd and bitter gourd.
With this dish alone, I can eat a plate of rice.
Overall, it was a very enjoyable and delicious dinner.

The rain and the cold must have driven this black insect or bee into my house. I found this on the floor mat in my hall. Fortunately, none of us stepped on it or else we might have got stung!
Saw this tiny lizard on my friend's garden wall.
The next morning after the heavy downpour, I saw this lizard on this plant outside my house.
"Hey! Hurry up, I am getting tired with this pose!"
I have to zoom in to get a close up shot. I am glad it gave me enough time for some snap shots before it disappear into the bush.

Yet is is always new, and works for you just as it did for Christ;
and as we obey this commandment, to love one another,
the darkness in our lives disappears
and the new light of life in Christ shines in.

Delicious Dinner At Restoran Hooray Seafood, Ipoh

Even though this restaurant is a bit far from our area, we made another visit together with a friend who expressed an interest in wanting to taste the food there. It was a Friday evening and we reached the restaurant before 6.30 pm.
This is a very appetizing dish - deep fried marinated pork slices topped with pickled onions. This is highly recommended as we have tasted this on our first visit.
Another delicious and flavourful dish - Savoury chicken in clay pot. They named this dish Lap Sup Kai in Cantonese, meaning Rubbish Chicken. Lol! What a weird name for a dish! I guess it is because of the many spices and ingredients they put into the dish.

Sweet potato leaves in a clay pot - another tasty dish.
3 dishes with rice and drinks for 3 people = MYR 47.40
This place is worth coming back.

Custard Apples & Little Critters.

After I have harvest the first 2 fruits from my Custard Apple plant, I trimmed off all the branches. Even though it was planted in a big pot, it grew tall. To control its height, I cut and shortened the plant.
Very soon new branches started to grow and once again it was covered with lush leaves.
Then followed by many small buds.
Hopefully, some of these will not drop but will turn into fruits.
Ahh! I caught sight of one small fruit here!
And another 2 fruits further up!
After some time, it grew to this size.
Another one up here!
Keeping a look out. This one is going to ripen anytime now.
So is this one!
I received some baby Adenium plants from a friend.
These are all grown from seeds.

This week the focus will be on these tiny critters.
A baby grasshopper on my garden fence.
Another grasshopper clinging onto my papaya tree trunk.
A baby dragonfly on the side wall.
This butterfly came into my hall and landed on the floor.
We were in a car show room looking at some new cars. Spotted this lizard on a brand new red car. It too wanted to show off its beauty!

Lost World Theme Park Promotion At Aeon Mall Kinta City, Ipoh

After dinner, we realized that we were too early for the Saturday evening church service. So we drove to Aeon Mall Kinta City for a look-see. As we entered, I heard loud music.....

We are not members and have yet to set foot in this place.
No, we didn't sign up but there was a long queue.

For those who are interested, the operational hours are as above.

These 2 white furry balls caught my eyes and I went close to see what they were.
Photo #9
Someone from the theme park was holding this little ball in her palm. I think this is a hedgehog.
Photo #10
I was busy focusing on taking snapshots of the hedgehog, I didn't notice the big "lizard" at the side.
Photo #11
This reptile looks scary to me.
Photo #12
Cute little furry ball, so comfortable in the palm of a hand.
