DINNER AT PAKEEZA RESTAURANT, IPOH

Last Monday afternoon, my friends and I, all from the same church met up at one of our houses for a time of prayer and fellowship and after that, we made a trip to the hospital to visit a friend who has been admitted. After the hospital visitation, we adjourned to Restaurant Pakeeza for our dinner. Tonight one of our friends wanted to give us a treat to celebrate her passing with excellence a very important exam.

It was almost 7.30 pm when we reached Restaurant Pakeeza. By then I could hear my tummy making all kinds of rumbling sound inside me.
We found a quiet place near a corner and got ourselves seated. The waiter handed the menus to us and gave us time to look through. I have  been to this place a few times for lunch when I was still working. When we first arrived, there were about 4 tables including ours. A short while later, the customers started to stream in and the place was almost three-quarter filled.

For a start, while waiting for the dishes to be served, we were served our drinks.
1 glass of Orange Lassi MYR 8.00

2 glasses of Mango Lassi MYR 16.00 (MYR 8.00 each).

1 Kashmiri Tea (authentically brewed hilltop tea, milked and garnished with diced roasted almonds).

Kashmiri Tea - nice fragrance, with almond flakes floating on top. We each took a teaspoonful to sip to taste. Nodding our heads, we would like to order one for ourselves after our meal - MYR 8.00

Chicken Masala - MYR 12.00

Mutton Kerahi (mutton cooked with oriental spices in a small wok - MYR 14.00).

Aloo Brinjal (Brinjal cooked with potatoes) - MYR 5.50.

Dhall Palak (yellow lentil cooked with mashed spinach) - MYR 9.00

Fish Curry Gravy - no charge

1 Khima Naan - MYR 8.00

1 Chapati - MYR 3.00

1 Potato Pratha - MYR 5.50

3 pieces of "bread/roti" to be shared by four of us.

This is my first serving.

As we enjoyed our meal, we continued with our fellowship with jokes and laughter. We had a wonderful time. We thank you, our dear friend (sister-in-Christ) for this yummy, delicious dinner. Believe or not, good fellowship makes the food tastier.

It is a very satisfying and filling dinner. Once in a while, it will be good and interesting to try something different for a change. We finished every morsel of food except the curry gravy. Just to prove to you that we almost wiped clean our plates, I took some pictures to show.
excuse me ... burp...belch...so sorry...(giggles...)

Oh my, I was so full...that we decided not to order the Kashmiri Tea after all.

This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you:
God is light, in Him there is no darkness at all.
If we claim to have fellowship with Him yet walk in the darkness,
we lie and do not live by the truth.
But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light,
we have fellowship with one another,
and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin.
(1 John 1:5-7, New International Version-NIV)
