Dinner At Restaurant Marpoh, Ipoh Garden.

Due to our current hot weather, I have been spending less time in the garden. So far, most of the plants in the garden are doing quite well.
I don't know the name of the above plants. They look like little daisies.

No home cooking again. The warm weather is a good excuse to be lazy.
We had dinner with a friend at Restaurant Marpoh in Ipoh Garden.
Deep fried chicken with sticky honey sauce.
Deep fried pork belly with brinjals (eggplant).
Green Amaranth soup with fried garlic and dried shrimps.
They even add century egg in the soup.

The following items were from the National Museum, K.L.
Article explaining the items in the following photos.
Antique costume and personal ornaments
 Antique hair ornaments
 Antique hair pins
 Antique chains

Then they cried to the Lord in their troubles,
and he rescued them! He led them from the darkness
and shadow of death  and snapped their chains.
Oh, that these men would praise the Lord
for his loving-kindness and for all of his wonderful deeds!
For he broke down their prison gates of brass
and cut apart their iron bars.
(Psalm 107:13-16, The Living Bible-TLB)

    1. Yes, its like taking a sauna in the Ipoh. I had to use a big face towel to prevent the sweat from dropping into the food. Lol!

    1. Century egg is traditionally prepared by preserving it in a mixture containing charcoal and quicklime for several weeks or months, eaten as a delicacy in China.

    1. Lol! Those days, the women had long hair tied into tight buns and the pins are to hold the buns in place.
