Unwelcomed Visitor & Dinner At Huan He Lai Seafood Restoran, Ipoh.

As usual, my day starts with an early morning walk, watering my plants in the garden, and if it is still early I might do some weeding in the garden. Then most of the day I will be staying indoors, doing whatever housework that needs my attention.
Due to the current heat wave in some states and ours is included, we are advised to stay indoors and to drink more water because of the excessive sweating.
One late afternoon, our friend sent us these pictures and informed us that they saw a snake in their compound. The heat could have caused the snake to come out of its habitat. The fire fighters were called to catch the snake.
Someone had been keeping a close watch on the snake and saw the snake slithered into a hollow steel pipe which is part of the framework of the outdoor extension.
After trying many ways to get the snake out of the steel pipe, the fire fighters left without catching the snake. Until now, no one knows what happened to the snake. It could have slithered away when no one unnoticed or it could have died inside the pipe.

Our friends wanted to have dinner at a new place known as Huan He Lai Seafood Restaurant at 69, Lengkok Desa Rishah 1, Desa Rishah, Ipoh. Much to our delight, part of the restaurant is air-con.
Sweet potato leaves stir fried with fermented beancurd or fu yu.
Steamed Tilapia fish with savoury sauce
I think this is the pork belly with salted fish cooked in clay pot.
Or was it chicken or pork rib? Oh dear, I am getting forgetful!
We usually ordered 3 dishes for 4 people but that evening, our friend wanted to try another dish. Half way through our dinner, we added another dish.
3 cups chicken dish in clay pot - small portion.

Work hard and cheerfully at all you do,

just as though you were working for the Lord

and not merely for your masters, remembering

that it is the Lord Christ who is going to pay you,

giving you your full portion of all he owns.

He is the one you were really working for.

(Colossians 3:23-24, The Living Bible-TLB)

    2. I have encountered rats entering my house via the sewerage pipes. so I guess if rats could do it, snakes could do it too.

  2. my house garden has a snake too...we didn't notice it at first coz it was a small one and we thought it is a rope (can't see well at night). Then we hit it with broom and it slithered away to dunno where (can't see in the dark)

  7. I'm scared of snakes. Once a snake entered our house as the maid left the main door open and unattended. it is a long story how we noticed it after about a week and killed it.
Hope you enjoyed those mouth watering dishes on display here!

  9. Las serpientes por aquí no son venenosas y no me preocupo por ellas, en el jardín hay algunas. Besitos.

  11. Glad we still have to receive cool summer breeze and hot waves are expected to last from mid-April as usual, but I wish it wasn’t stronger. Hope the snake escape to wild or at least never turn back to your friend’s place. Lovely sky shot!

  13. Oh my gosh! If that snake was not caught, I would have had to move out and stay in a hotel until it was found! You cannot keep them out, they just slither anywhere!!! Your first picture is gorgeous, the hilltop with the beautiful clouds.

  19. Unless the snake was poisonous, i wonder about calling the firefighters. A non-poisonous snake is good for catching vermin around the house. We have many here, and seldom see them, but they are good for pest control.

  22. I would find that situation scary if I lived in that house or apartment block as a snake could have slithered anywhere. Amazing to see firefighters having a go at catching it. Have a good day Nancy!
