That evening, we had a dinner gathering of 6 people at Restoran Ipoh, Jalan Masjid, Ipoh. We were there at 7 pm and the place was packed. We waited more than an hour for dinner to be served. In future, we need to book the table and order the dishes at the same time to avoid the long wait.
Steamed Tilapia fish with savoury sauce @ RM 36.00
The whole fish was almost covered by the yummy sauce.
Deep fried bitter melon with salted egg yolk @ 10.50
Ma Po Tofu @ RM 8.50
Romaine lettuce stir fried with fermented bean curd @ RM 3.00
Nyonya curry chicken @ RM 15.50
The kitchen left out this dish and I supposed they did a quick cook, It didn't taste as good as the ones we had before. Total cost of dinner including rice and Chinese Tea = RM 98.45
After dinner we drove over to Parkson Parade Shopping Mall.
We parked our car in front of the Ipoh City Council building.
Majlis Bandaraya Ipoh or Ipoh City Council.
Secret Recipe's Cheese Cake.
4 cold drinks and cheese cake for dessert.

DeleteI like the fish with savoury sauce, the deep fried bitter melon and the mapo tofu, just these three dishes would be good for me, a pity the nyonya curry was disappointing. Maybe because it was a rush job that is why the standard was not there.

This place is known for its good tasty food. That is why it is so crowded.
