Home Made "Melt In The Mouth" BBQ Pork

This was last Tuesday. I captured a few morning sky shots before we started out on our morning walk.

Morning sky at 7:01am
Dreamy morning sky.

One snapshot while walking.

Breakfast
2 half boiled eggs, 2 pieces of bread with coconut jam (kaya) and hot milo for hubby.
2 pieces of toast with peanut jam and apricot jam and hot milo for me.
~~~~~
Dinner
Home made "melt in the mouth" bbq pork.
Cook the pre-marinated pork belly (kept overnight in the fridge) together with the marinate sauce in non-stick pan. Added some water to dilute the sauce in the pan. Cook over medium fire until it started to boil, then let it simmer covered over low fire. Check frequently to make sure the sauce doesn't dry out. Turn to cook the pork on both sides. Once the pork belly is cooked and soft enough, off the fire.
Cut the cooled bbq pork belly and kept aside one portion for our neighbour.
Kept the bbq sauce in a separate bowl. If sauce is too thick, add some water and cook over a fire.
Sauteed napa cabbage + carrot with garlic and salt.
Getting ready for photography session.
Poured the bbq sauce over the bbq pork and let's eat!
To keep ourselves connected, my foodie friends and I will post and share photos of our meals on our Whatsapp chat group.
Mangoes for dessert.
Our day ended with this evening sky at 7:20pm.
Saturday's Ctitters
Baby grasshopper.
I saw a strange big ant on the trash bag which I haven't seen before. I used Google Lens app and it was identified as the Green Tree Ant. Information from the internet says that its sting is poisonous and can cause a strong allergic reaction that often leads to an anaphylactic shock. Before it could get away, I quickly flatten it. I hope its nest is not anywhere near my house. So far, so good, until now there has been no more sighting of this type of ant.
Don't brag about tomorrow,
since you don't know what the day will bring.
Let someone else praise you, not your own mouth -
a stranger, not your own lips.
(Proverbs 27:New Living Translation-NLT)
  3. Yummy food, especially the bbq meat for many people. Thanks for the warning about the ant and its poison. Must avoid getting bitten by this ant. Can please share the recipe for your marinate sauce for the bbq pork? Thanks in advance.
  6. Wow, what an ugly ant and it was dangerous. I do hope that you don't have an ant hill near you. If so, find it and drain it with gas and light it.
  18. BBQ pork stomach sounds good, but never have eaten a animal stomach. UMMMM~?! Lovely sky photos! I am glad the bug didn't bite you! Glad you figured out what it was and smashed it. We have been seeing too many spiders in the house lately. One came down from ceiling in living room while Megan and I were watching tv. It scared her alot but she sprayed some theives household cleaner in area where it landed. Spiders usually die when from it when we spray them. Better than other indoor bug sprays. Have a good time each day while making delicious food! Hugs and blessings!!
  23. Okay...I had to look up the green tree ants and they are not good to have close by. They swarm when threatened and can over take smaller animals. Your barbecue dinner looks so good I can almost taste it. I'll have to try cabbage, carrots and garlic cooked together. Sounds good.
