Pot Bless Lunch And Dinner Gathering With Friends

Once in a while, it is good to have friends over to share our home cooked food. Nothing fussy or complicated, just simple everyday dishes. Featured in this post are 2 meals we shared with friends.

1st meal - dinner held in a friend's house.
The host cooked 2 dishes: bittergourd egg omelette and beans with minced pork. We contributed roast pork and yam bean dish. (I cooked a big pot of yam bean and I kept another portion for the next day's lunch).
2nd meal, lunch held in my house
A friend brought chicken curry, roti paratha, jackfruit and another friend brought sweet porridge (red bean and black glutinous tong sui). No photo of the sweet porridge or tong sui.
Delicious chicken curry with potatoes.
Pan fried crispy roti paratha or flat bread to eat with the chicken curry.Jackfruit
I prepared vegetable salad with the ice vegetable from Cameron Highlands, cucumber from my garden, and lettuce. I used Kewpie roasted sesame dressing for the salad.
Yam bean with dried prawns, carrot, mushroom, cuttlefish, etc. All the ingredients cut into thin strips.
Glass lettuce for wrapping the yam bean.
I have a lot of sweet potatoes leaves in my garden. So I decided to stir fry a plate of sweet potato leaves with garlic and prawn sauce.
Lunch gathering of 6 people.
Simple meals taste more delicious when eaten in the company of good friends.

So then, my brothers and sisters,
when you gather to eat, you should all eat together.
