It was morning and we were going out for our breakfast. As we were walking along the 5 foot way along to the coffee shop, I saw this cat napping on the floor.
When she heard our footsteps, she opened her eyes, stirred and stretched.
Even when I stopped to snap her photo, she minded her own business.
She started to clean herself and I quickly caught up with my hubby.
My simple breakfast. 2 slices of toasted bread with butter and coconut jam (kaya). And a cup of hot nescafe to go with the bread. Once in a while, I crave for a nice hot cup of nescafe.
I managed to snap this picture of the nectar sucking bird. I do not know the name of this bird. It loves the fire crackers flowers.
There are 2 birds in this photo. Can you spot them?
Their back is brownish and their underside is yellow.
Linking to Saturday's critters.
"But blessed are those who trust in the LORD
and have made the LORD their hope and confidence."
(Jeremiah 17:7, NLT)
Lovely photos, Nancy, and your simple breakfast looks wonderful! Animals are great greeters any time of day! My cat is my alarm clock, and I prefer his meows to the sound of the alarm. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Linda. I once had my pet dog as my alarm clock and he woke me up by licking my face. That was when I was still schooling, so many years ago.
DeleteThat is my usual breakfast coffee and toast. Great photos of the birds, very pretty.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Mamas. Have a happy weekend!
DeleteHello Nancy!:) Mel my little sausage dog wakes me up every morning like clockwork by pulling at my bedclothes. I forgive her anything!:) How lovely that you get those yellow breasted birds in your garden. Neat photos of all the other ctitters too. Spots my other dog is camera shy, and always turns his head away, when I try to take his photograph.:(
ReplyDeleteThank you, Breathtaking. Looks like you will have to take Spots' photo without him being aware of it. Have a wonderful weekend!
DeleteNancy, that little bird must be very happy in your garden! I have seen one like it in my garden too but it was too fast for me to snap photo. Is it a hummingbird? It is so tiny and dainty.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Phong Hong. It looks like hummingbird but I am not sure. I have to try many times before I managed to catch them in these pictures. It is a small, pretty bird and they move very fast.
DeleteGreat photos of the kitty! The dog seems friendly even if he was shy!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing!

Thank you, Julia. The most difficult is bird because the slightest movement will cause them to fly off. Have a happy weekend!
DeleteNancy you showed diffferent types of animals but my favourite are birds
ReplyDeleteThank you, Gosia. I love birds but they are not easy targets, most times they are too fast for me. Have a lovely weekend!
DeleteYou got a great variety of critters this week Nancy. Well done. Have a great weekend. xx
ReplyDeleteThank you, Joyful. Have a wonderful weekend!
DeleteWhat a beautiful morning! And lots of animals on the streets. If you see a dog on the streets here, it's usually a frilly dog prissing along on a leash!

DeleteThose flowering trees are so pretty, as are the birds. What a cute little kitty and puppy. I hope they have good homes and aren't strays.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Erika. From their look, they do not look like strays. I think they are fed and have homes. Have a wonderful Sunday!
DeleteYesterday, i saw two puppies drinking milk from their mother's, one of them is shy too, i wanted to go nearer, it ran away and hide under a car...
ReplyDeleteHello, Sharon. Maybe the puppy thinks you are going to take it away from its mother. Most times, the adult dogs will turn away or walk away from me when I try to take their picture.
DeleteWonderful photos! I love the cat and the dog. Both are very cute.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Gunilla Back for your visit and comments. Have a wonderful Sunday!
DeleteI see the red flowering plant in Maui!
