I was seated next to my friend who was driving her car when suddenly she said that she wanted to drink soya milk. She drove to Ipoh Garden East and she introduced me to this shop "Makanan Traditional Taiwan" at Jalan Medan Ipoh 1e, Medan Ipoh Bistari, Ipoh.
My friend ordered soya milk and I ordered soya rice milk. I wanted to try something different from the normal soya milk.
It was about 11 am and there were only two other customers besides us.
Soya rice milk on the left, slightly darker shade than the soya milk on the right.
I enjoyed the soya rice milk, it has added fragrance.
Our snacks - Bacon egg roll with soya sauce. The only sauce available is soya sauce. If only they have chili sauce.
I can't remember the name - its a kind of spring onion pancake.
Crispy on the outside with sesame seeds and soft on the inside.
Thank you for the delicious soya milk and yummy desserts treat, my foodie friend!

ReplyDeleteYummy and delicious pancake!
DeleteWhat does soya milk taste like? It looks like chocolate milk! Or maybe a drink we have here called Yoo-hoo, which is a waterier chocolate milk.
ReplyDeleteIt is a plant milk made from soya bean. Looks like normal milk and does not have any chocolate taste.
DeleteThank you, De. Have a great Wednesday!
ReplyDeleteWow, this pancake looks so delicious! I think soya milk is great alternative for cow milk)

Thank you, Tanya. Yes, many people are drinking soya milk in place of cow milk.
DeleteThe additional fragrance must be from rice! I like to eat the "chung yu pin" - spring onion oil pancake. So nice of your friend to this delicious snack!
ReplyDeleteYes Mun, you are right. The fragrance makes the drink very delicious. Both pancakes will be more tasty if there is chili sauce.
DeleteI have never had soya milk. The bacon egg roll looks so good, I would have it without the soya sauce! :)
ReplyDeleteThe bacon egg roll would have tasted better with chili sauce than with soya sauce.
