Chinese Rice Wine And Chicken Soup For Dinner

One rainy evening, I cooked drunken chicken soup with Chinese rice wine which I bought from the nearby grocery shop. The craving for this soup started after my elder son sent me a picture of the drunken chicken soup he cooked using the Chinese rice wine a colleague gave to me. There was no home made rice wine in the house, so I went to buy a bottle from the shop.

I chopped 4 chicken legs into bite sizes, julienned old ginger and soaked wood fungus. First, I heat up some sesame oil in the pot, stir fried ginger and wood fungus over medium low heat. Then add in the chicken and stir to mix until chicken turned colour. Then I poured in the whole bottle of rice wine and add a bottle of plain water. Let it simmer until cooked and add salt to taste.
A plate of sauteed winged beans with garlic and salt and the drunken chicken soup for dinner.
After cooking, I sent a bowl of drunken chicken soup to our friend.
Since we didn't want any rice or noodle, we were able to finish the drunken chicken soup.
White and purple Periwinkles in front of my house.
Love the pure white with yellow centres Periwinkles.

My advice to you is to buy pure gold from me,
gold purified by fire - only then will you truly be rich.
And to purchase from me white garments, clean and pure,
so you won't be naked and ashamed;
and to get medicine from me to heal your eyes
and give you back your sight.
(Revelation 3:18, The Living Bible-TLB)
