Our morning walk was cancelled last Wednesday because it was drizzling. We got into our car and off we went looking for breakfast. Out of a few suggested places, we finally chose Restoran Yee Lock, Jalan Raja Musa Aziz (originally named Anderson Road). We were thinking of the "Mah Jie" curry noodle. It was only after we had scanned the QR code, we noticed that the stall was closed.
We looked around the stalls. Hubby decided to order prawn noodle, while I ordered fried rice vermicelli (no photo to show).

Back home in my garden.
I harvested 3 red okras from an old plant. This old plant is still bearing okras, so I let it be even though the okras are smaller in size.
Chinese chive flowers.
I am collecting the seeds to propagate for a friend.

Our home cooked dinner.
There were the French beans, tomatoes, and hairy squash (moh kwa) given by a friend that I need to cook. I didn't want to keep in the fridge for too long.

Buttermilk prawns with curry leaves.
First time cooking buttermilk prawns and it was so delicious.
Hubby wanted some noodles to go with the buttermilk prawns.
Saw these antique telephones at Kapitan Kongsi Hotel, Malacca.

ReplyDeleteCan recall those old telephones, the first one is very similar to the first one I ever used, used to stand on a stool, pickup the listening piece and talk...long, long ago.
I didn't get to see the first one. But familiar with the 2nd one.

DeleteWe used to have all sorts of old old phones, but when we moved from Oregon in 2012 we sold most, kept a few and left the installed phone booth complete with pay phone in our house! One of my young nephews had never seen a rotary phone and asked me how it worked. When he saw how to do it- he tried for a bit, but said "This is too hard, I like the push buttons!"
