We couldn't go for morning walk because it was raining when we woke up. We waited for the rain to stop and we drove out to Kedai Kopi Sun Yuan Loong for breakfast. The last time I was here was with my ex-colleagues and friends, and that seems like a long time ago.
Sunrise at 6:55 am.
I ordered my favourite item - glutinous rice.
3 types of glutinous rice: yellow, white & brown with toppings of bbq pork, roast pork, peanuts, sweet grated coconut, and specially served with chicken curry and sambal. The lady boss very accommodating, you can request whatever toppings you want. The cost is less than RM6.
This place is known for their white coffee.
On the way home, we stopped to buy some baked snacks.
4 siew paus (baked buns) and 5 kaya puffs.
This photo was taken after we have eaten 2 paus and 2 kaya puffs.

Back home in my garden.
A single okra from a thin branch of an old plant.
I have since removed all the old okra plants and letting the soil rest before I plant something else in the pots.
Chinese kai lan seedlings.
Purple eggplant seedlings.
~~~~~
Hubby went out to buy our favourite claypot chicken rice.
He also bought sour vegetable or kai choy.
We each had a plate of claypot chicken rice.
Our simple dinner.
The bbq pork slices look really succulent and yum! Love those baked pastries....nice to go with some oolong tea for an afternoon snack.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Angie.
DeletePretty sunrise. It is nearly 8am before the sun rises here. I don't like the short daylight hours at all! The pastries look good.
Delete...after seeing your pictures, I can't wait to plant my garden in the spring.
ReplyDeleteI am now germinating some seeds and waiting to plant new plants.
DeleteThat glutinous rice is interesting. That's quite a variety of toppings from sweet to savoury. Did you order all available ones? And is that normal? :p
ReplyDeleteI just say that I want a mixture of everything and the lady boss very obliging.
DeleteEverything looks so delicious and I love seeing photos from your garden!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Martha.
DeleteYour food looks very good. I never did get to like okra. Maybe, it is because it is always sold as frozen food and does not taste good.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Gigi. I have not tasted okra in frozen form. We get to taste our okra fresh.
DeleteThe baked goods looks so tasty, delicious.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Mamas.
DeleteWow, what a bountiful table! I just love okra, how nice to see how it grows.
DeleteMay your seedlings grow up to be big and strong! Love your breakfast of 3 types of glutinous rice. Here cannot get this dish with any toppings. I see got so many pieces of siew yuk and only for that good price is a steal! Love your claypot rice dinner too. Long time didn't eat that. The Kai choy dish is very appetising. Surely can't finish this flavourful dish in one sitting, right?
ReplyDeleteThank you, Mun. This is the only place that I know of that can get the 3 types of glutinous rice with all the toppings.
DeleteI never knew about a thing called " white coffee ". Very interesting.
ReplyDeleteCruisin Paul
