The day started with the following morning sky shot.
Sunrise at 7:28am.
Our morning walk takes us this way but this is the first time I noticed these knobs on this tree trunk. What do you see? It looks like a face to me.
Taken from another angle.
This one looks like another face to me.
What about you? What do you see?
~~~~~
Home cooked dinner for 2.
I had another portion of marinated beef slices in the fridge. I used the beef slices to cook with young ginger slices and spring onions aka "keong choong ngau".
2 dishes with some steamed rice for dinner.
Do you remember these old wall switches which we used to switch on and off the lights and fans? We can still see these old faithful switches in use in some of the older houses and shops.
O Lord, don't hold back your tender mercies from me!
My only hope is in your love and faithfulness.
(Psalm 40:11, The Living Bible-TLB)
In the second tree picture, I see a gnome.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Ginny. I saw it too.
DeleteI see a squid in the tree. Food looks yum!
Interesting. Have a lovely day.
DeleteI love beef stirfry...so tender and juicy.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Angie.
DeleteYES! I see the nose! A chin. And eyes - great find!
ReplyDeleteBertiebo might like this - she collects faces.
The second looks like a bear to me. One ear up, one down, cute. The nose, the mouth, all there.
Your food looks yummy again. Need to buy ginger!!
Why, yes. I think I do remember such switches, but from Australia, not Germany.
Thank you, Iris. That was interesting.
DeleteYes, haven't seen those old school switches for such a long time. Your beef dish looks good - I guess there is no problem getting fresh beef there - here, we have to buy the imported Australian and New Zealand beef, most of the time as tough as leather and not cheap!!! That's one interesting tree trunk there!
ReplyDeleteFor fresh beef, we have to go to the main wet market in town. So I usually buy some extra to keep in the freezer. The beef is nice and tender.
Deletei don't see any 'face' on the tree trunk....my imagination is too low...LOL!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Nux.
DeleteI see faces. And I love all the pictures of food.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Grams.
DeleteThe od trunk has interesting textures.
ReplyDeleteThank you, William.
DeleteGreetings from Turkey:)
ReplyDeleteThank you and greetings from Malaysia.
DeleteI remember old switches like that! Lovely food, as always, and love the knobbly tree! Hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteThank you, Valerie.
DeleteI think my childhood house still has these light switches. The knobs on the tree frightens me because they look like cancerous tumours on humans. I like the napa cabbages n carrots dish the best. How do you decide during dinner to eat rice or not? Cos for beef dish n napa cabbages I wouldn't eat any rice.
ReplyDeleteIt is easy. It depends on whether we want to eat rice or not.
Delete...those switches are a bit different than the ones I remember from grandmothers house. Thanks for sharing Nancy.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Tom.
DeleteI see a whole lot of tiny people trying to get out.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Annie.
DeleteThat tree is full of character!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing at http://image-in-ing.blogspot.com/2021/12/memories-of-snows-gone-by.html
Thank you, Sue.
DeleteIt's fun to find faces in nature! Your photos of switches made me laugh- we still have them!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Kathe. These switches are very hardy and lasting.
DeleteI see the face on that tree.
ReplyDeleteYummy on the food. I want to come to your house for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Have a fabulous day, Nancy. ♥
Thank you, Sandee. Have a fabulous day too.
DeleteThe sliced beef looks really good Nancy. Yum, yum.
ReplyDeleteCruisin Paul
Thank you, Paul.
DeleteThe food looks delectable. Thank you for the Bible verse.
ReplyDeleteThank you, RR. You are welcome.
DeleteYeah, a face with pimples... so observant la you!
ReplyDeleteLol! Big pimples.
DeleteThe knots on the tree look like a gnome to me, also. Those old light switches were so sturdy, they seem to last almost forever if not replaced for a more modern look.
ReplyDeleteThe cabbage looks so good!
Thank you, Mimi. I like those old switches. Not easy to find them now.
DeleteI don't like the knobs on the tree trunk, didn't want to look closely. :p
ReplyDeleteHa ha ha....not very nice looking.
DeleteThank you, Francisco.
