Chinese Rojak, Bubur Cha cha Sweet Drink & Waxed Duck.

Yesterday morning (93rd day MCO), we were out of the house by 7:05 am for our morning walk. The following snapshot of the sky were taken on our morning walk.
View of one of the back lanes and morning sky.
Can you see the pigeons resting on the telephone lines?
Sunrise at 7:14 am.
Sunrise at 7:16 am
We each had only a cup of unsweetened coffee (no food) at our regular coffee shop before walking back home
Snapshot of morning sky at 8:03 am, taken on our way home.
These are the vegetables I bought on our morning walk.
Our breakfast.
2nd portion of fried tom yam beehoon with chili oil for extra oomph.
For lunch, we had Chinese rojak (fruit salad) with sweet peanut dipping sauce.
Hubby ordered unsweetened coconut water and I had bubur cha cha sweet drink with coconut milk.

Simple home cooked dinner
Steamed waxed duck
This was the last piece, bought before Chinese New Year.
Steamed salted chicken egg
Instead of boiling the salted egg, I steamed it together with the waxed duck and rice.
Sauteed assorted veggie with spicy sambal paste.
(remnants of choy sum, red okras, and snake beans from the fridge)
Our simple dinner.
Golden dragon mango for dessert.
From my garden.
Sparkles from the water collected in the Sunset bells.

The LORD their God will save his people on that day
as a shepherd saves his flock.
They will sparkle in his land like jewels in a crown.
(Zechariah 9:16, New International Version-NIV)

  14. Nice morning walk with a stop to buy some veges. Love the vege dish for dinner but without the sambal. With sambal vege and waxed duck, you need to eat with rice which I can see you did. Wow! You can drink coffee in the morning on an empty stomach. I couldn't cos the coffee would burn in my stomach. Your Mee Hoon looks delicious from the fridge. Did you reheat it by stir frying it again in the wok?

    1. Yes, I reheated the beehoon by stir frying it in a non stick pan.

    1. I googled and it says that the duck is hung out to be dried or cured in the cold dry wintry air and sun.
