We woke up about 6:50 am on Sunday morning (89th day MCO). We had enough time for morning walk and breakfast at our regular coffee shop. No photos of our breakfast. After breakfast we walked back home to prepare for online Sunday worship service. On the way home, I saw some pretty hibiscus flowers.

My neighbour gave us a papaya and 2 tubs of soya bean curd (tofu fa) with palm sugar after her marketing trip. The papaya will need a few days to ripen.
Hubby and I had the tofu fa for mid morning snack.
Hubby bought assam laksa @ RM 4 from a roadside stall to try. I took a sip of the soup to taste. The soup was too watery and I prefer a more spicy version.
Mid afternoon snack: Mangoes from my friend's garden.

Home cooked dinner
I boiled lotus root soup with pork bones, carrot, red dates and goji berries.
Sauteed cauliflower, home grown snake beans, prawns with garlic. I sprinkled some crispy dried prawn sambal to add extra flavour.
Dipping sauce: Bird's eye chilies in soy sauce.
Satisfying dinner for 2 people.
My son, never forget the things I've taught you.
If you want a long and satisfying life, closely follow my instructions.
Never tire of loyalty and kindness. Hold these virtues tightly.
Write them deep within your heart.
(Proverbs 3:1-3, The Living Bible-TLB)
The mangos look so fresh and pretty, and the hibiscus are lovely.

DeleteThe mangoes from your friend's garden look so tasty! Good to walk back after breakfast for more exercise. You didn't eat rice for dinner, right?
ReplyDeleteThese days I seldom eat rice for dinner except when there is a curry dish. I don't eat rice so that I can clear all the remaining dishes.
DeleteWise decision! :)
DeleteIf I won't eat the leftover, it will have to be thrown away, and I feel it is such a waste of good food.
DeleteI ate all the cauliflower. It was delicious too.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous day and week, Nancy. ♥
I will usually end up clearing all the left over food.
DeleteLoyalty and kindness. Two very good virtues to have.
ReplyDeleteIf we all have loyalty and kindness, then the world will be a better place to live in.
