Before the MCO, we used to frequent Pusat Makanan Ye Sing for the curry noodle.
One morning, since we were in the same vicinity, we stopped to takeaway the curry noodle.
We had separate tiffin carrier for the noodles and broth. Ingredients: Noodle, bbq pork, roast pork, chicken, pork skin, long bean, beansprout)
Hubby doesn't like mint leaves, so I get to have extra mint leaves.
Here are my skinny corn plants.
Yesterday, I harvest the last 2 ears of corn because the silk has turned black.
This is what I get after removing the husk. The corn were not fully formed. I also harvested a red okra from a new plant.
While we were at the pomelo stall, we bought 2 pomelos for own consumption. Pomelos are much sought after during Chinese New Year season. Popular as gifts and for prayer items.
We bought 2 pomelos with freckled skin. Most important the inside must be nice and juicy. We bought 2 for RM10 each.
The fruit is nice and juicy, but not very sweet.
Do you remember the above old bus tickets? I haven't taken the public bus transport for a long time, so I don't know whether these tickets are still in use.
Be gentle and ready to forgive; never hold grudges.
Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others.
(Colossians 3:13, The Living Bible-TLB)
ReplyDeleteAmen.
DeleteI don't think the bus tickets are still in use nowadays. Your tiffin so keng, can put liquid n not leak out the curry broth. Mine will leak. Good you get to harvest purple corn again. Not enough fertilizer is it for the corn not to be fully formed? I wonder cos I don't know.
ReplyDeleteI use the big tiffin for liquid to avoid spilling or leakage. Could be insufficient fertilizer.
DeleteOh ya I do remember those bus tickets. Showing my age heh.
ReplyDeleteMy mum would always show off her pomelo purchases when they're cheap due to not looking nice.
Pomelos not cheap during CNY. The freckled ones are cheaper.
Delete...I remember seeing pomelos in Maui and I remember bus tokens as a kid. Thanks Nancy for stopping by. Take care.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Tom. Take care and stay safe.
DeleteI have never come across pomelos before, is it like an orange?
