This was before the Movement Control Order when dine-in was allowed. Last Saturday, we had breakfast at Restoran Yummy Food Garden. This is the place where we come to buy the spiral flaky curry puffs.
I was standing in front of this stall which sells Prawn noodles and Assam Laksa, trying to make up my mind which to order. Then I saw a helper with a bowl of assam laksa walked past me to serve to a customer. Straight away I ordered a bowl of assam laksa. From the above picture, you can see why I ordered assam laksa. It is because of the amount of fish flakes and the thick broth. It was good and I finished the whole bowl. For drink, I ordered barley with beancurd drink with less sugar.

The following photos were taken on our way home on one of our morning walk.
Chickens crossing the road.
2 roosters and 1 hen.
Sorry about the rubbish strewn all over the place, not a pleasant sight.
Just look at the rooster with its neck feathers all fluffed up at the hen or was it at me?
It was only a few seconds and both the rooster and hen went back to their search for food.
Our presence didn't interest or disturb them.
Linking to Saturday's Critters.
There are three things that are stately in their stride,
four that move with stately bearing:
a lion, mighty among beasts, who retreats before nothing;
a strutting rooster, a he-goat, and a king secure against revolt.
(Proverbs 30:29-31, New International Version-NIV)
The Assam laksa sure looks good with so much fish flakes. I wonder whether any passerby will slaughter the hens or rooster to be eaten as food.
ReplyDeleteMaybe they will try to steal the chickens.
DeleteNancy, how lovely to see those rooster - ever so pretty for males.
ReplyDeleteI am tempted to rear some but I have no space to keep them.
Deleteso very nice :D
ReplyDeleteThank you, Aleksandra.

ReplyDeleteThat rooster is beautiful! Lovely photos. Lots of health :)
Thank you, Lucyna.
DeleteThe roosters are so colourful. The one with the feathers fluffed up is a wonderful sight. as you can't see the white patches, which can't be seen in the others.
ReplyDeleteSeeing and taking snapshot of the fluffed feathers is a bonus for me.
DeleteCute photos ❤
ReplyDeleteThank you, Kinga.

ReplyDeleteYes, and he wants to show it to the other chickens.
DeleteThe chickens are quite photogenic.
ReplyDeleteYes, I think so too.
DeleteChickens are hilarious. But good eating!!
ReplyDeleteAnd they can be very entertaining too.
DeleteThe chickens are so colorful!

DeleteGarbage is a universal problem and no one seems willing to to mend their ways. We will bury ourselves in trash.
ReplyDeleteSo true, don't understand why they can stand seeing the trash around their place.
DeleteI want that assam laksa with plenty of fish flakes and thick broth.
ReplyDeleteI hope to go back for the assam laksa again soon.
DeleteThat one pretty rooster. I bet he was trying to state his authority or something.
ReplyDeleteThat bowl of assam laksa looked good. You even finished the broth, so I guess it was good.
That rooster must be the king of the flock. Lol!
DeleteI don't know who would complain about the rubbish...those roosters are so beautiful I don't see how anyone could take their eyes off them. Wow! They are gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI am surprised the owners of the houses in that area didn't make an effort in clearing the rubbish.
DeleteBeautiful rooster :) Have a great day :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Iwona. Have a great day too.
DeleteLet's assume the rooster was fluffing up for the hen and not for the human taking his picture. :)
ReplyDeleteHa ha ha...I guess you are right. He is more interested in the hen. Lol!
