This is the 3rd Sunday, 19th day MCO, we have been staying away from church. There is no rushing to get ready for church. We could either opt for live streaming at a specific time or choose to listen to sermons posted on Youtube at any time convenient to us.
Sunrise at 6:45 am
Since no one is allowed to go to the recreational park, the dogs will have the park all to themselves.
~~~~~
Sunday morning breakfast
A smiley bowl of noodle and ingredients.
I blanched non-fried dried Cintan noodle, some kau kee veggie and cooked 1 hard boiled egg. I arranged them nicely in a bowl.
My breakfast - Penang assam laksa
I warmed up the leftover Penang assam laksa soup and pour it over the bowl of noodle.
Hubby's breakfast
He went out to buy fried rice vermicelli from our regular fried noodle stall. When we poured out the noodle from the carrier, we realized that the portion was enough for 2 people. Hubby forgot to inform the lady boss. It was too much for hubby so I kept a third of the noodle for lunch.
~~~~~
Sunday lunch
Sweet drink (tong sui) from our neighbour.
Enough for 2 bowls
The sweet drink consists of papaya, snow fungus, dried longan and red dates.
3 steamed bbq pork buns
A small portion kept back from hubby's breakfast.
~~~~~
Later in the afternoon - orange juice
Iced orange juice from 4 oranges for 2 people
Sunset bells from my garden.
~~~~~
Sunday home cooked dinner
Blanched siew pak choy, drizzled with garlic oil and soy sauce.
ABC Soup
Ingredients: chicken, carrot, potatoes, tomatoes, big onions, and some white peppercorns.
Hubby's special request: steamed a small piece of salted fish (mui heong fish soaked in oil). It is a very small piece, totally covered by ginger strips.
Home cooked dinner for 2 people with steamed rice.
Wall painting - an empty bench facing the lake with no one in sight.
MCO - a great opportunity for some personal reflection.
Now we see things imperfectly,
like puzzling reflections in a mirror,
but then we will see everything with perfect clarity.
All that I know now is partial and incomplete,
but then I will know everything completely,
just as God now knows me completely.
(1 Corinthians 13:12, New Living Translation-NLT)
your iced orange juice is so refreshing! I wish to have a glass now in this hot weather. Tasty food but I can only eat one third of each dish.
ReplyDeleteThe weather is hot and hubby has been repainting the walls. The orange juice is great for quenching his thirst. Mun, you are a very small eater. Stay safe.
