The National Museum, Kuala Lumpur.

Since our last visit to the National Museum was a long, long time ago, we decided to stop for a visit to the museum. We wouldn't know when we will have the opportunity to visit it again in the future.
We got off the bus at #21 - National Museum.
Entrance to the museum.
Antique locomotive on display.
Keretapi Tanah Melayu (KTM) Locomotive on display.
Another locomotive on display.
The Dennis Fire Engine on display.
A cannon on display.
This coach serviced at Penang Hill (Bukit Bendera) from the 21st October 1923 to December 1977. It was designed and manufactured by a Swiss Company. The Penang State Government presented the coach to the National Museum on the 23rd June 1978.
Proton Saga car was Malaysia's first National Car.
It was completed at 2.30 pm on Thursday, 18th April 1985.
We were using a Proton Saga car manufactured in 1990.
Antique car on display.
If not mistaken, this is a Rolls Royce car?
Maybe someone can confirm.
Sir Franck Athelstane Swettenham
This statue was erected to commenmorate his numerous contributions towards the early development of Malaya.
King Edward VII (1841 - 1910).
Burial Poles.
House on stilts.
Megaliths or "Living Stones".
Post Box.
Look closely. Can you see 2 snails on the side of the post box?
Bridge made from tree trunks.
Side view National Museum.
Walking to the front where the ticket counter is located.
Water feature.
Front view National Museum.
Entrance fee for local senior citizens RM 1 only.
Looking forward to see what treasures await us inside.

Yes, I could see the two snails on the post box. The green colour on the first locomotive looks so pleasant.

  4. It looks like a fun place to explore. Yes, the car appears to be a Rolls Royce, it has the right emblems on it.

In some places here, we still build houses on what we call piers. It's the only way to build in the swampy areas.

The outside beckons with treasures, i am looking forward to more pictures from the inside. Happy Tuesday!

  12. I do see the snails on the mailbox. And here is why it is so funny to me. Here, we call all mail that is actually letters put into boxes "snail mail". As opposed to the fast e-mail. I love the yellow Rolls!!But my favorite has to be the old fire engine. Wow, I wish I could get up close and walk around it!
