Dendrobium Anosmum Orchid Adopted From My Friend's Garden.

Last year I visited a friend in Batu Gajah and was admiring her lovely plants in her garden especially her beautiful orchids. I saw this light purple orchid which I think is the Dendrobium Anosmum orchid. Please correct me if I am wrong.
I had the darker purple version in my garden. You can click here to view the deep purple flower. I actually asked for a cutting or a single plant but my friend was so generous that she gifted me the whole plant.
After a few days, I noticed flower buds on the balded stem.
Waiting for the buds to open.
I was so excited when I saw the first bloom.
Initially, I hung this orchid plants in semi shade but expose to the morning sun.
Now I have shifted the plant to under the porch with less sunlight.
The colour may not be outstanding but it is such a sweet looking flower!
Within a few days, more flowers appeared.
 Happy flowering!
This is the deep purple orchid. It has since stopped flowering.
Hope these will start to grow healthy once again.
Thank you, Patricia for your gift!

And as we live with Christ,
our love grows more perfect and complete;
so we will not be ashamed and
embarrassed at the day of judgment,
but can face him with confidence and joy
because he loves us and we love him too.

Sweet Fellowship At The deClassroom Restaurant & Cafe, Ipoh.

It was the 4th day of the Chinese New Year celebration. Finally, we were able to agreed on the day and time that was convenient for the four of us to meet up for the new year. Our young friend, Edward chose Ipoh old town as the meeting place thinking that the Chinese New Year crowd would have all left Ipoh to return to their respective homes. To his surprise Ipoh old town was still crowded with tourist from far and near. Anyway we managed to park our cars and walked to one of the cafes that was open for business. It was the deClassroom Restaurant & Cafe at Jalan Market, Ipoh old town.
Late lunch for our young lady friend. She ordered this Creamy Mushroom Chicken Chop set with a glass of lemon tea and ice-cream @ MYR 22.90
For Edward, hubby and I, we ordered this Ham and Cheese Sandwich set to share. This set comes with a glass of orange juice @ MYR 14.90
These were our drinks to quench our thirst on a hot, sunny day.
A glass of iced white coffee @ MYR 5.50 was not in the picture.
Hubby ordered this Ahmad green tea (from London according to the tag) @ MYR 5.90 and I ordered an Apple & Celery juice @ MYR 6.90.

Decoration on the wall.
Cute table fan that helped to keep us cool. The air con was not cold enough.
I have a smaller verson of this fan that I am using in my kitchen.
This is the size of the fan compared to my hubby's hand.

I use God's mighty weapons, not those made by men,
to knock down the devil's strongholds.
These weapons can break down every proud argument against God
and every wall that can be built to keep men from finding him.
With these weapons I can capture rebels and bring them back to God
and change them into men whose hearts' desire is obedience to Christ.

Gardening & Home Cooked Dinner.

For the past whole week, I have been busy working in my garden. I have to discard some of plants that were not doing well and keep those that are healthy and easy to look after. There are also plants that needed trimming or cutting back and the cuttings to pass over to a friend.
This yellow Plumeria or yellow Frangipani is one of my favourite plants in my garden.
Although I grow it in a pot, it can grow very tall to almost touching the porch awning.
I shortened the plant to about 1.5 feet. In fact this is the second time I have shortened the plant. The cuttings were all given to a friend who has a big compound to plant them.
After a few weeks, new branches will start to grown.
This picture was taken the first time I shortened the plant.
So sad that this beautiful Plumeria plant has again been infected with rust disease or rust fungus. It is a kind of yellow powder that sticks to the underside of the leaves. I balded the whole plant twice but couldn't seem to get rid of the rust fungus. I finally gave the plant to a friend who wanted to adopt it.
I finally had a chance to cut back the branches of this hibiscus plant after all the buds have flowered.

There are still meat and vegetable stocked up in my fridge so I have to be diligent in home cooking.
Made another round of roast pork belly. We love the crunchy skin.
I used the Green Amaranth (yeen choy) from my garden to boil soup with dried shrimp and egg.
I steamed some briyani rice to eat with roast pork and soup.

Next is your question about eating food that has been sacrificed to idols.
On this question everyone feels that only his answer is the right one!
But although being a "know-it-all" makes us feel important,
what is really needed to build the church is love.

Robots, Critters & Mish Mash.

We thought there was a promotion by Nam Heong Soho Ipoh but we were told by one of the staffs that there was none. My friends decided not to eat there but before we left, we took some snapshots of the robot servers dressed in red and white..
According to the news report, these robots were brought in from China.
They are programmed to speak in English and Cantonese.
They can actually conversed in 36 languages.
They run on rechargeable batteries.
It is reported that they can say "Welcome", "Your food is served, please enjoy", "I'm in operation, please give orders", and "Excuse me".
These robots can travel at a speed of up to 60 km per hour.
I found this space robot in front of the UO Superstore at the Greentown Mall.
The workman is putting some finishing touches to the robot.
Below are some mish mash photos.
This picture was taken in January when we passed by here. Even the tradition style of conducting a Chinese funeral wake has taken a different new style. Great for advertisement purposes.
A pretty drawing from one of the restaurants we visited.
Same as above.
This was at Wan Li Xiang Roasters.

Is there any such thing as Christians cheering each other up?
Do you love me enough to want to help me?
Does it mean anything to you that we are brothers in the Lord,
sharing the same Spirit?
Are your hearts tender and sympathetic at all?
