Till We Meet Again Someday

WITH A HEAVY HEART, I'm writing today to inform you that Nancy has return to Our Lord Jesus on  11.11.2023....

As many of us who know her personally, Nancy is a sincere, simple, genuine, kind, helpful and a fun loving friend... my best and closest friend whom I shall miss tremendously....

I have so much to say to her...  about her.... but now I am in a loss of words....

On the positive side, she is now in a much better place where there is no more suffering and pain...

On behalf of Nancy and her family, I want to thank you all for coming by her blog faithfully all these years.... her blog will always be here for us to remember her by, she has done a wonderful journal on her blog and I hope it will be an encouragement to others as well.

I chose this picture...
I am sure Nancy wants to thank you all...
Thanks to you too, Nancy, for being my Friend....
Miss you lots!

2 Timothy 4:7-8
I have fought the good fight,
I have finished the race,
I have kept the Faith....

The Tower Of Strength

INTRODUCTION:  My name is Claire and I am Nancy's ex-colleague/friend/buddy for many a years now.  I am now writing on behalf for Nancy who has given me the privilege to update her blog from now on....

AT THIS TIME OF WRITING, Nancy is resting in bed, she could not get up to do her normal chores for now.  Other than that, she is still Nancy, spiritually and mentally strong.... physically, she may be crushed but not broken because she has the body of Jesus living in her....  as in the Bible verse says...

II Corinthians 4:8-9
We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed
Perplexed but not in depair
Persecuted but not abandoned
Struck down but not destroyed

My friend, Nancy is going through her journey of faith as each day passes by.  She has a tower of strength eventhough every move she makes brings excruciating pain.

We can continue to encourage her through prayers... prayers of comfort and peace upon her and family..

I went through my photo gallery a moment ago and with Nancy's permission granted, here are some of our trips we have taken together after our retirement....

Happy Memories!

At the Penang Times Square....
Row, row, row our boat......
Busking along with Mr. Tin Drummer....
Mari... mari... Teh Tarik!
Care to join us for a scrumptious dinner?
Discussing our home affairs....
Waiting for our Mr. Right.... LOL
My BFF.....
Nancy, my Lady!

Since the 8th chemo, I have not been feeling too well and I'm afraid blogging will be put on hold for now.

Once I feel better, I will update my blog and let you all know.  Please continue to pray for me, I really need that.

I appreciate all of you who have been following my updates all this while and praying for me.

Thank you very much to all my readers, far and near....

God Bless...

Anxiously Waiting For CT Scan Result.

Today is Sunday and tomorrow I will be admitted once again into the hospital for the 8th chemo treatment. I pray and hope that God will give me the strength to manage on my own when in the hospital. Lately, I have grown weaker and getting out of bed is a struggle on my own. most of the time, i have to grit my teeth to endure the pain.

Sunrise at 6:40am.
On the way for admission.
Same as above.
This is a precious plant given by a dear friend.
Told hubby to shift it to a shady place so it will not dry up when hubby forgets to water the plants.
This was only part of crowd waiting for their turn to do the CT Scan test,
Finally it was my turn to be wheeled down and wait for my turn.

7th Chemo Treatment At The Hospital

I had the pre-chemo blood test done on Friday, 21st July and will be admitted to hospital for chemo treatment this morning (Monday, 24th July).

A friend took this shot with the rainbow on the way to Bercham, Ipoh.
Hubby went to join them for dinner while I was in hospital.
A version of Crown of Thorns without the thorns from my front garden.
This is how we queue up for the blood test using our belonging while waiting for the counter to open at 7am. The gold bag is mine. After placing my bag, I went to get a seat. I got #10.
We reached just before 6am and we managed to get a parking space just next to the blood lab which allows hubby to support me while I walked. Praise the Lord, my back pain is much lessen and more tolerable.
These are all waiting for the counter to open at 7am. They will only start to take the blood about 8am. So there is long wait of about 2 hours plus before we could go home.

Psalm 23, The Lord's my shepherd.

The Lord is my shepherd, I'll not want
He makes me lie in pastures green
He leads me by the still, still waters
His goodness restores my soul

Chorus:
And I will trust in You alone
And I will trust in You alone
For Your endless mercy follows me
Your goodness will lead me home

He guides my way in righteousness
And He anoints my head with oil
And my cup, it overflows with joy
I feast on His pure delight
(Chorus)

And though I walk the darkest path
I will fear the evil one
For You are with me, Your rod and staff
Are the comfort I need to know
(Chorus)

Considering To Have A Chemo Port Insertion Procedure

It is Monday here again. It is now 1:45am here. I just got up to take some biscuits and warm milk. Since I am fully awake now, I might as well put up my post at this time in the early morning. Sitting here in the afternoon is a bit warm even with the fan blowing.

Sunrise at 7am.
The weather is warm but with some rain on certain days.
Cranberry Hibiscus which is no longer in my garden due to neglect.
~~~~~
I was discharged from the hospital on Saturday, 8th July morning. My next pre-chemo blood test will be on Friday, 21st July and my next chemo treatment (7th) in the hospital will be on Monday, 24th July.
While in hospital, I was told that even after I finished my 9 doses of chemo treatment, I will probably need to further continue on my chemo treatment on and off depending on the CTScan results. And looking at both my hands, the blood veins may not be able to take all the branula needle insertions for the chemo treatment. Earlier I was worried about the risks but now after much consideration, I have agreed for the chemo port insertion and pray that there will be no complication. The process for the insertion will take some time and an appointment date will have to be secured.
Thank God my back pain has lessen and I can get up and out from bed, stand and walk with less struggle and pain. Thank God for all your prayers and thoughts for me.
This photo was taken in July, 2022 when I was still active in my garden.
I Trust In Jesus
Lord for what now do I wait, Christ the hope that shall not fade Take my heart this flesh these bones, Trust I place in You alone Light the path on darkest day, Guide my feet if I would stray Grant me strength if I should roam, Ever homeward to Your throne I trust in Jesus and only Jesus, He is the name above all names My strength and refuge, My firm foundation And I will worship Him forevermore Mountains of the earth may fade, Yet the love of God remains Storms will rage and oceans rise, Christ alone will turn the tide Resting in His loving arms, This I know with all my heart Death can never take its hold, Grace will never let me go
I trust in Jesus and only Jesus, He is the name above all names My strength and refuge, My firm foundation And I will worship Him forevermore
Come all sons and daughters rise, Lift your praise beyond the skies Every nation now proclaim, Glory to our risen King Bow before His righteousness, Christ is Lord our tongues confess Justified the sinner saved, Glorify His holy name
I trust in Jesus and only Jesus He is the name above all names My strength and refuge, My firm foundation And I will worship Him forevermore O I will worship You I will worship You with all my heart And all my soul
6th Chemo Treatment On 5th July, 2023
When our dear friends heard about my back pain, both she and her hubby went out to buy a waist support belt and brought it all the way to my house for me. I am now currently using the belt to support my waist and back. It does helps a bit especially whenever I get up from bed. I have to sit awhile and slowly stand up and waited for the pain to subside a bit before I am able to walk upright without much pain. I thank God for every struggle that He helps me overcome in my everyday life, especially when I will in the hospital for the 6th chemo treatment on the 5th July.
Sunrise at 7:25am.
Goodbye to my bigger than palm size single layer petals hibiscus. Due to the dry weather and neglect, it dried up.
The above shot was taken when we were in a shopping mall in 2019 before I got sick. I am sharing this photo of soft toy swans instead of real life critters for this week.
I need Thee every hour, Most Gracious Lord
No tender voice like Thine can peace afford
I need Thee, O I need Thee, every hour I need Thee
O bless me now, my Saviour, I come to Thee
I need thee every hour, stay Thou nearby
Temptations lose their power when Thou art nigh
I need Thee, O I need Thee, every hour I need Thee
O bless me now, my Saviour, I come to Thee
I need Thee every hour, Most Holy One
O make me Thine indeed, Thou Blessed Son
I need Thee, O I need Thee, every hour I need Thee
O bless me now, my Saviour, I come to Thee
I need Thee every hour, Most Blessed Son
No tender voice like Thine can peace afford
I need Thee, O I need Thee, every hour I need Thee
O bless me now, my Saviour, I come to Thee.
I come to Thee.
