When our dear friends heard about my back pain, both she and her hubby went out to buy a waist support belt and brought it all the way to my house for me. I am now currently using the belt to support my waist and back. It does helps a bit especially whenever I get up from bed. I have to sit awhile and slowly stand up and waited for the pain to subside a bit before I am able to walk upright without much pain. I thank God for every struggle that He helps me overcome in my everyday life, especially when I will in the hospital for the 6th chemo treatment on the 5th July.
Sunrise at 7:25am.
Goodbye to my bigger than palm size single layer petals hibiscus. Due to the dry weather and neglect, it dried up.
The above shot was taken when we were in a shopping mall in 2019 before I got sick. I am sharing this photo of soft toy swans instead of real life critters for this week.
Photo credited to Julie Chong, the artist of the above waterfall mural.
I need Thee every hour, Most Gracious Lord
No tender voice like Thine can peace afford
I need Thee, O I need Thee, every hour I need Thee
O bless me now, my Saviour, I come to Thee
I need thee every hour, stay Thou nearby
Temptations lose their power when Thou art nigh
I need Thee, O I need Thee, every hour I need Thee
O bless me now, my Saviour, I come to Thee
I need Thee every hour, Most Holy One
O make me Thine indeed, Thou Blessed Son
I need Thee, O I need Thee, every hour I need Thee
O bless me now, my Saviour, I come to Thee
I need Thee every hour, Most Blessed Son
No tender voice like Thine can peace afford
I need Thee, O I need Thee, every hour I need Thee
O bless me now, my Saviour, I come to Thee.
I come to Thee.
Perhaps you can try acupuncture? I've gone for that a few times, once for back pain, another time for some pain on my shoulder. It worked very well!
ReplyDeleteMay God bless and be with you when you go for your chemo in a couple of days time.
Thank you, STP. My back pain is lessen now.
DeleteI have back pain every now and then and I am so used to it. I have to be careful especially when gardening. May God be with you and help you through your chemo treatment on 5th July.
ReplyDeleteThank you, PH. Now i have to be careful how I turn my back or shift my position when sleeping so as not to pull the muscle again.
DeleteI hope your latest round of chemo on July 5 is successful. I know you must be in pain, but I am always in awe of your strength and positive attitude.
ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful mural. I love the waterfall. I can almost feel the spray it is leaving.

DeleteEsperó que todo salga bien con tu nueva quimo y que tu espalda mejore Lindos peluches. Te mando un beso.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Citu.
DeleteI hope by now your back is better...I have experienced the upper back pain before and it was just horrible. It impacted my daily life activities and I felt miserable all day. However, gently yoga stretching did help me. Get well soon, Nancy, and best luck to your 6th therapy!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Angie. My back pain is much better now after applying some counterpain gel on my back.
Delete🌅 sunrise looks pretty. I enjoyed seeing the sunset Friday evening when driving from convention I went to. It was almost orange as it sank under the mountain top. I like Sounds Like Reign music. I've actually order two of their cds. Only sent in USA though. I like watching them online as well. I hope your back feels better soon with all you're going through. 🙏 🌹
ReplyDeleteThank you, Becky. I took love sunrises and sunsets.
DeleteThe sunset is beautiful. How many more chemo treatments do you have? And how often are they checking to see how much it is helping? And news?
ReplyDeleteI still have 3 more chemo treatments to go in the hospital. I probably need more depending on the CTScan result.
DeleteI go with suituapui - for years I suffered migraine. Acupuncture, though I did not believe in it , freed me. Only 8 sessions and two years later 4 and I am pain free,
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed your chemo helps. And you come out fresh like the waterfall. It must be scary times, hugs...
Thank you, Iris. Chemo treatments can be scary times. My back pain is lessen now. Hope to regain my strength again after I have completed the first 9 rounds of chemo treatment.
DeleteHi Nancy, please rest more to let your back sprain heal. If you don't mind, may I know is the back sprain caused by a very thin mattress?
ReplyDeleteThank you, Mun. While I getting up from back, I accidentally pulled my back muscle. Thank God the pain is lessen now. I just have to position myself carefully and slowly whenever I am getting up and out of bed.
DeleteGood luck with your latest chemo Nancy. Are you feeling ok apart from your back?
ReplyDeleteHow lovely of your neighbours, and you have worked away to move about without too much pain, but backs are a problem when we hurt them.
Do take care and all the best.

DeleteI can imagine the discomfort you are having, Nancy... every posture have to be slow... we are not springy chickens anymore... just yesterday I turned behind in the car and my neck suddenly got "pricked" and then I have to slowly adjust left and right to put it back into position....
ReplyDeleteYes, many of my elderly friends also complained about having pulled muscles and bodily aches. Really have to be careful how we move about.
DeleteYou have good friends, Nancy. I am sure you are thankful for them.
ReplyDeleteThank you, David. Good friends are blessings.
