Walking At Polo Ground & Breakfast At Ipoh Garden East, Ipoh

Last morning, we were invited to join our friends at Polo Ground (Taman Rekreasi Sultan Abdul Aziz), Ipoh for walking exercise.

Looking out for the sunrise at about 7 am.
Morning sun rising over the hill top or tree top at about 7:38 am.
After our walk, we joined this group exercise for a short while. Then it was time to go for our breakfast. Exercise makes us hungry and gives us good appetite.
~~~~~
Someone suggest breakfast at Ipoh Garden East.
We ordered 2 pieces of crispy thin pancakes. Later, we ordered additional pancakes but didn't take any picture.
Roti canai or roti prata to share.
A friend ordered this bowl of noodle and said this was very good.
2 bowls of prawn noodles.
My cup of kopi-c kosong.
When we ask the Lord's blessing upon our drinking
from the cup of wine at the Lord's Table,
this means, doesn't it, that all who drink it are
sharing together the blessing of Christ's blood?
And when we break off pieces of the bread from the loaf
to eat there together, this shows that
we are sharing together in the benefits of his body.
My Friends' First Dinner At Kedai Minuman Villa, Ipoh
Since the start of RMCO (Recovery Movement Control Order), we have been walking out from our house to the nearby shops, walking a few rounds around the blocks of shop. We prefer walking there because the streets are lighted up by street lights. Another reason is that there is less people walking there as most of them will be walking at the lake park which we used to go before the MCO started. The walk back home is interesting because sometimes I get to pass by and take snapshots of the pretty flower by the roadside.
Calliandra haematocephala flowers by the roadside.
Yellow Elder flowers by the roadside.
My friend's home grown Jack fruit or nangka fruit. It took her almost 2 hours to cut up the fruits and packed ready to distribute to her friends.
I received the above Jack fruit or nangka from my friend. She took the trouble to come all the way to send it to my house. Thank you, dear for your thoughtfulness. Appreciate it.
Dinner with friends from Penang.
This is the first time taking our friends to this new place for dinner. Our friends prefer the cooking of small eateries to well known restaurants.
Bitter gourd slices + egg omelette.
Free range chicken cooked with lots of blended ginger in clay pot. This is very flavourful and those who loves ginger would enjoy this dish.
Sweet potato leaves cooked in clay pot with lots of crispy fried lard. This is another tasty dish.
A very satisfying and reasonably priced dinner.
Have a Blessed Sunday!
For the Lord says,
"Because he loves me, I will rescue him;
I will make him great because he trusts in my name.
When he calls on me, I will answer;
I will be with him in trouble and rescue him and honor him.
I will satisfy him with a full life and give him my salvation."
Steamed Pork Rib With Taro For Dinner
After our early morning walk and breakfast, I usually start by sweeping the porch area before watering the plants in my garden.
I observed my Ixora plant is with buds and flowers.
~~~~~
Home cooked dinner (Day 1)
I almost forgot about the taro that was kept in the vegetable compartment. Fortunately, the taro was still in good condition. I was thinking of a simple recipe to cook the taro and I recalled a recipe for steaming pork ribs with taro.
First, I marinated the pork ribs with chopped ginger and garlic, oyster sauce, soy sauce, salt and sugar, cooking wine, and tapioca flour for a few hours in the fridge. I spread out the taro cubes evenly in a streaming plate and placed the marinated pork ribs and whatever marinate sauce on top of the taro cubes. Steam over medium fire for about 40 minutes or until cooked and the taro softened.
Blanched home grown white brinjals and okras, drizzled with garlic oil, oyster and soy sauce,
Rice porridge.
This was my simple home cooked dinner for 2 people.
It was an early dinner at about 6 pm. At about 8 pm, we met up with our friends and we went for a light supper.
We went to the nearest food court and ordered bbq stingray. I only remembered to take this snapshot and forgotten about the rojak (fruits salad).
I took a snapshot of the pigeons on the power cable on our morning walk.
~~~~~
Simple home cooked dinner (Day 2)
Blanched home grown Malabar Spinach, drizzled with garlic oil, oyster and soy sauce.
Home made salted egg.
Leftover steamed pork ribs and taro from the previous day's dinner.
Pigeons above us. Took this snapshot in Taiping town.
Feeding time for the pigeons, also taken in Taiping town.
Instead, feed your enemy if he is hungry.
If he is thirsty give him something to drink and
you will be "heaping coals of fire on his head."
In other words, he will feel ashamed of himself
for what he has done to you.
In everything you do, stay away from complaining and arguing
so that no one can speak a word of blame against you.
You are to live clean, innocent lives as children of God in a
dark world full of people who are crooked and stubborn.
Shine out among them like beacon lights,
holding out to them the Word of Life.
