Wonton Noodle Breakfast & Home Cooked Dinner

Wednesday morning (147th day MCO), we did our early morning walking rounds and went home and took the car out to town.

Sunrise at 6:52 am.

7:00 am.
7:08 am.
7:25 am.

Breakfast at Restoran Memorable Good Taste, Jalan Theater, Ipoh.
We have to queue and wait for our turn to be seated. Once in a while, I don't mind waiting because to us, the food is worth it.
We ordered 2 set of the above breakfast consisting of 1 plate of wonton noodle, stewed sweet sour pork rib, 4 pieces of wonton dumplings and 1 sui kao. We also ordered 2 bowls of herbal tea without the egg. Total cost of breakfast for 2 people is less than RM 16.00
Sui kao and wonton dumplings in tasty soup.

Home cooked dinner
My neighbour gave me some winged beans.
I used the winged beans to cook with dried prawns and sambal belacan.
Fried 2 fishes.
Boiled soup with pickled mustard root or Sichuan vegetable (char choy in Cantonese), carrot, tomatoes, napa cabbage and pork. An appetizing soup for a warm evening.
This was our home cooked dinner. I cooked noodle for hubby to eat with soup. No noodle for me because I needed to finish the fish. There were leftover soup and winged beans which I kept in the fridge for next day's lunch.
I had this beautiful plant in my garden and then it just disappeared. I miss the beautiful batik designed leaves in pink and green colours. Maybe I should go and buy one from the nursery one of these days.

For you have rescued me from death;
you have kept my feet from slipping.
So now I can walk in your presence,
O God, in your life-giving light.
(Psalm 56:13, New Living Translation-NLT)

  10. The price is sure good and the sweet and sour pork ribs is worth the wait. It is perfectly fine to queue and wait. No harm done. Both of you must be very full after this hearty breakfast. Is the herbal tea without eggs, sweet in taste?

  11. I love all the ingredients in your soup. I could just eat them for dinner, no need to drink the broth liquid. Doesn't your husband eat the fish?

    1. Hubby doesn't eat much fish, only the fleshy part. He is not good in picking the bones.

  12. The pink and green leaves are pretty. Usually they will grow again if their roots are still in the ground. Did you remove their roots?

  20. Oh winged beans is one thing you don't plant in your garden.

I still haven't seen herbal tea with egg sold here.

    1. I planted once but it was too invasive for my small garden. Here, we call the herbal tea with egg "tan cha", and without egg "chai cha"....Some very nice but some not so nice.
