After the dragon fruit farm, we stopped at the Tanjung Sepat (Cassava) Tapioca factory and then moved on to the Qingren Qiao Local Product Shop and antique treasures display. I will leave the Tapioca factory visit post for tomorrow.

When we alighted from the van, we were greeted with bright red Chinese New Year decorations. I got busy taking snapshots of the many antique treasures.

One Day Trip To Kuala Lumpur-Sepang-Tanjung Sepat-Jenjarom

It all started with a call from an ex-colleague A asking me whether I was interested in a one day trip organized by one of her sisters. The one day trip's itinerary includes visiting some places in Tanjung Sepat in the district of Kuala Langat (Selangor state) and will end with a Lantern Festival in Jenjarom before we return home to Ipoh.

Together with another ex-colleague B, we were part of a group of 15 people travelling in a 17-seater van. I set the alarm to wake me up at 5 am the Tuesday morning because I need to take my own sweet time to get ready. I drove over to pick B and we reached A's house around 6.30 am. The van came to pick us up at 7 am plus.

Breakfast: We stopped for the famous Gopeng "Lai Fun" noodle in Kopisan village. (I accidentally deleted the van and breakfast photos).

Kuala Lumpur: A detour to take an elderly uncle of the Organizer for lunch with us. Waze navigation app was unable to track the address and we got lost. Took us some time to get back on the right track with the help of a taxi driver to reach the relative's house. The following snapshots were taken at the relative's place.
 Antique door bell
 Antique weighing machine
An old television cabinet converted into a shoe cabinet.
Nearby houses.
Very unique design houses. The 4 gates belonging to 4 houses.

We had lunch with the elderly uncle at a nearby restoran. He got to spend some quality time catching up with his sister and nieces. After lunch we sent the uncle back to his house and we continued on with our trip,
Our next stop is at this Multi-Rich Dragon Fruit Farm in Sepang, Selangor.

The young green fruit of the Pitaya cacti also known as the "Dragon fruit".
The fruit is fleshy and mildly sweet with low calories.
The fruit has many tiny black crunchy seeds. The seeds have a nutty taste and rich in lipids.
The fruit is wrapped with plastic bag to protect from birds, etc.
Big sized red fruits for sale at the farm.
I bought 3 smaller size fruits for RM 10.
This is the red flesh fruit with tiny black seeds. The red flesh is sweeter and juicier than the white flesh. After consuming the red fruit, the urine will be reddish in colour.
Free tasting of the "dragon fruits".

A short session to promote fruits enzymes and honey.
I saw these "dragon fruit" seeds being dried at the farm.
I am interested to see if the seeds taken from the fruit will grow in my garden.

It is like a tiny mustard seed!
Though it is one of the smallest of seeds,
yet it grows to become one of the largest of plants, with long branches
where birds can build their nests and be sheltered.
