White Bitter Gourd Stuffed With Fish Paste + Minced Meat

It was a gloomy day. The sunrise was blocked by an overcast sky.

Started out on our morning walk at about 6:45am.
~~~~~
After morning walk, we stopped at a nearby coffee shop for breakfast. We shared the following items.
A plate of Hong Kong chee cheong fun which is steamed rice flour noodle with bbq pork and prawn filling. It was served with sambal on the side.
A cup of unsweetened coffee with evaporated milk (kopi C kosong).
2 sets of egg on toast for sharing.
We like to add sprinkling of soy sauce and dashes of white pepper powder to the eggs.
A plate of fried rice vermicelli with egg, prawns and beansprout.
Morning sky at 7:55am.
Morning sky at about 8am.
White bitter gourd is right for harvest.
I was not sure how I want to cook the bitter gourd. I looked into the freezer and checked what I can find. Then I took out a packet of fish paste and a packet of minced pork.
I ended up making stuffed white bitter gourd with the fish and minced meat paste.
I don't have chili sauce, so I used roasted sesame dressing as dipping sauce.
Plain blanched green veggie (baby choy fah).
This was a 2 dish dinner. No rice, no noodle.
So, my fellow believers, long to be prophets
so that you can preach God's message plainly;
and never say it is wrong to "speak in tongues";
however, be sure that everything is done properly
in a good and orderly way.
Eggs On Toast & Vegetable Curry With Crispy Papadum
First Thursday morning of the New Year 2022.
The morning is nice and dry and we started our morning walk at 6:52am.
This was hubby with the red cap and a backpack, walking ahead of me. The backpack comes in handy in case I buy something.
Lovely pink and blue sky at 7:12am.
And trees.
~~~~~
Early morning breakfast at 7:40am.
Hubby ordered a plate of noodle (no photo) and some of the above fried stuffs.
I ordered eggs on toast (sweet bun) with a cup of coffee.
~~~~~
Home cooked dinner.
That morning I bought a packet of A1 (AK Koh) instant vegetable curry paste for RM4.70,
and a pack of Papadum for RM2.50.
(instant Indian black gram bean flour dough)
Home cooked vegetable curry.
Ingredients used: Instant curry paste, coconut milk (santan) 1 packet, home grown brinjals or eggplants, potatoes, tomatoes, long beans, cauliflower, and some special tofu puffs given by a friend, brought back all the way from Bentong.
Took out a portion of vegetable curry for dinner and kept the rest in the fridge for another day.
Instead of rice or noodle, I fried half a packet of papadum to go with the curry.
This was our dinner on Thurday evening.
8 pieces of deep fried papadum with vegetable curry.
Pretty wasp moth in my garden.
Mating season
This snapshot was taken in the month of May.
For in due season Christ will be revealed from heaven by the blessed
and only Almighty God, the King of kings and Lord of lords,
who alone can never die, who lives in light so terrible
that no human being can approach him.
No mere man has ever seen him nor ever will.
Unto him be honor and everlasting power
and dominion forever and ever. Amen.
Merry & Meaningful Christmas to you!
May you be blessed with the gift of Love, Peace & Happiness this Christmas.
The following pictures are from Monday, 20th December.
Breakfast
So far this is one of the best Hor Hee Noodles we have tasted.
Restoran Meng Meng Kee, Menglembu.
One of our regular coffee shop has started to serve half boiled egg on toast. The half boiled eggs were a bit over cooked. The boss needs some time to get it right.
I managed to take a snapshot of a plane flying over our house.
A bird on the power cable next to our house. There were 2 birds, but 1 flew away before I took the snapshot.
~~~~~
Hubby and I shared the following lunch at Perak Stadium food court.
My favourite soybean pudding (tofu fa) with glutinous dumpling with black sesame paste.
Beef noodle.
Fruit rojak Chinese style.
On the way to the bank at about 2pm.
I saw and quickly took a snapshot of this black ant resting on the stigma of my yellow hibiscus flower.

Come to me and I will give you rest - all of you
who work so hard beneath a heavy yoke.
Wear my yoke - for it fits perfectly - and let me teach you;
for I am gentle and humble,
and you shall find rest for your souls;
for I give you only light burdens.

Egg On Toast, Bread And Roast Pork Bone Porridge

Last Tuesday morning we didn't go out for morning walk. I went out early to sweep the porch area and also to water the plants.

Morning sky at 7:05am.
My fat, fat shadow.
~~~~~
Home made breakfast.
My breakfast: Walnut sesame bread with butter & nutella spread and hot milo. Hubby's breakfast: Walnut sesame bread with 2 half boiled eggs and Nescafe.
 I tried to adjust the egg nicely on the 2 pieces of bread but instead I broke the egg yolks.
When I was younger, I liked thick nutella spread on the bread. Now I find the nutella too sweet for my liking, so I spread it sparingly on the bread.
Home cooked dinner
I have some roast pork bones which I bought from Menglembu market and kept in the freezer. I took out a packet to cook roast pork bone, peanuts and rice porridge.
First, I soaked and then cooked to soften the peanuts in a pressure cooker. Then I added the pre-cooked and softened peanuts to the rice, roast pork bones and water in a pot. Once boiled, I lowered the flame and let it slow boiled till cooked.
Ginger strips and spring onions as garnishings.
My bowl of porridge with the garnishings, dashes of white pepper powder and some soy sauce. Hubby and I had 2 helpings of porridge. I boiled just enough of porridge, so there was no leftover.
Are there still some among you who hold that
"only believing" is enough? Believing in one God?
Well, remember that the demons believe this too -
so strongly that they tremble in terror!
Fool! When will you ever learn that "believing"
is useless without doing what God wants you to?
Faith that does not result in good deeds is not real faith.
Lunch At Tea Garden, Johor Bahru.
I was informed that this place serves good nasi lemak and that I will enjoy the fried chicken that comes with the nasi lemak. So the first thing we ordered was the plate of nasi lemak with fried chicken.
Something seems to be missing from the plate of nasi lemak. Did they forget the sambal? Then we noticed the sambal in a little plastic saucer. Hmm....that small plate of sambal for the whole plate of nasi lemak? I have to ask for extra sambal! Good and tasty nasi lemak depends on the sambal.
Curry chicken noodle with thick curry gravy.
A Portuguese egg tart and a normal egg tart.
2 steamed bbq meat buns.
Egg on 2 pieces of lightly toasted bread with kaya between the bread.
Steamed soft and fluffy puffed kueh with kaya filling.
Someone ordered this black & white drink.
(soya bean milk & black jelly or cincau)
Pretty menu
The above was our lunch for 4 people.
Filled with Sunday lunch crowd
A comfortable place to have your lunch.
Payment counter.
Next, we visited the AEON Mall in Bukit Indah.
Walking and shopping for groceries.
Hari Raya decorations in the mall.
This was on the 3rd day of Hari Raya.
 Next, we came to this place with durian on our mind.
But ended up ordering 3 fresh coconuts to quench our thirst.
The following photos are for joining Tuesday's Treasures & Image-in-ing.
Antique counting machine.
We were using this when I first started work.
A very old rusty antique refrigerator.
These 2 items were found in the Qing Xin Ling Cultural Village.
Never speak sharply to an older man,
but plead with him respectfully just as though he were your own father.
Talk to the younger men as you would to much-loved brothers.
Treat the older women as mothers, and the girls as your sisters,
thinking only pure thoughts about them.
