I don't feel like going out for dinner on this particular day. When we eat out too often, there comes a time we do not know what to eat. I intended to cook our own dinner. I remembered the packets of soup mix that I bought when we visited the Gaharu Tea Village end of last month. If you are interested, you can click here to read.
First, I needed to check whether I have chicken in the freezer. Yes, I bought a chicken few days ago. I took out the chicken to defrost. I then read the instructions on the package to see what else do I need. Just the chicken and the soup mix. So easy!

All the soup ingredients were packed into this packet. I used the whole packet of soup mix for 1 whole chicken to boil enough soup for 2 meals.
I would love to have some greens for dinner.
These sweet potato leaves were grown from stems after the tender leaves were plucked for cooking. They were from the bundle of potato leaves I bought from the road side stall. I just stuck those stems into a shallow pot in my garden.
I harvested whatever I could from the pot. The harvest was enough for a plate of blanched green.

Blanched tender sweet potato leaves. I drizzled some extra virgin olive oil and stirred it with some premium oyster sauce before serving it.
The oil came from the skin of the chicken feet and wings. The rest of the skin were all removed. We skimmed away most of the oil before we drank the soup. This was our home cooked dinner. I was happy the Gaharu soup was quite tasty and was without any strong smell or bitter taste.
Look after each other so that not one of you
will fail to find God's best blessings.
Watch out that no bitterness takes root among you,
for as it springs up it causes deep trouble,
hurting many in their spiritual lives.
