Windmill & Cactus Babies at Cameron Highlands.

"Happy New Year!"

After our walkabout in Tanah Rata, we got into the car to drive uphill. We intended to make stops for short visits to gardens and interesting places along the way. We spotted a cactus farm sign. We turned left and drove up a very steep slope. I wouldn't dare drive up or down such steep slope.
We got a pleasant surprise. We didn't expect to see this.
We were expecting a cactus farm.
Imagine having to drive up and down this steep slope.
These are luxurious gated properties.
The Royal Chateau with a Smurf Inn.
I like the design of the buildings and the windmill.
We found the small cactus farm on the right side.
We were the 2nd car visiting here at that time.
I was happy snapping these flowers photos.

I bought these cactus babies from the cactus farm.
At first I was undecided whether to buy or not but I am glad I did.
7 cactus babies for MYR 10 (approx. 2.32 USD).

Yellow Daylily or the edible Golden Needle Flower (Kum Chum Fah in Chinese)

Once again we were driving uphill after the cactus farm.
We were stuck in a traffic jam. The traffic was moving very slowing.
Saw these giant ferns along the road. I think these are the ferns that produce the Golden Rooster fern or Pokok Ayam Mas (below pic.).
Yes, remember your Creator now while you are young,
before the silver cord of life snaps and the golden bowl is broken.
Don't wait until the water jar is smashed at the spring
and the pulley is broken at the well.
For then the dust will return to the earth,
and the spirit will return to God who gave it.
(Ecclesiastes 12:6-7, NLT)
