Exploring Kuala Lumpur City On A Bus Tour

This is the continuation of our Kuala Lumpur City Tour on the Hop-on Hop-off bus. The photos posted here were taken on the Garden Route and City Route tour.
Passing by the Dataran Merdeka or Merdeka Square, Kuala Lumpur.
Opposite the Merdeka Square is the Sultan Abdul Samad building.
Merdeka Square or Independence Square was formerly known as the Selangor Club Padang (field).
Looks like a project of some sort.
I used to walk past this area when I was working in the capital city.
Passing under a overhead pedestrian bridge.
Just look at the people queuing up in front of this Mamak rice shop. The queue here is much longer compared to the Mamak rice shop in Ipoh.
A mixture of the modern with the old.
Can you see the fencing surrounding the green and beige building?
A nice fence to link with Good Fence.
 Hard Rock Cafe
 Istana Budaya or Cultural Palace
 same as above
 ASNB Kuala Lumpur.
Looking at the time we had left after our lunch, we realized that we would not be able to complete the City Route tour in time.
We had to be on time to catch the train back to Ipoh and we wouldn't want to be caught in a traffic jam and miss our train.
We got down from the bus at this point #8 at the Kuala Lumpur Twin Towers.
Too bad the tickets to the Skywalk were all sold out.
We will have to come back again some other time to check out the tourist attractions such as the Skywalk, the aquarium and the Petrosain museum.
We took a short tour around the shopping centre as we still have some extra time to spare.
Then we made our way to the LRT light rail transit station.
The LRT rides and the services provided at the ticket counters were good.
We had time for a simple dinner at KL Sentral.
It was a good experience touring on the Hop-on Hop-off bus.
In order to complete both the Garden route and the City route, you will need 2 days to explore at your leisure. It was a day trip for us, so we had to cut short the city tour.
On board the train taking us back to Ipoh.
Goodbye Kuala Lumpur. See you again on the next visit!

Linking to Good Fences.

These men of faith I have mentioned died without ever
receiving all that God had promised them;
but they saw it all awaiting them on ahead and were glad,
for they agreed that this earth was not their real home
but that they were just strangers visiting down here.
(Hebrews 11:13, The Living Bible-TLB)

    1. Thanks for pointing it out to me. I did mention it was a day trip in one of the earlier posts but not in this. I have made some amendment to the post. Will have to wait and see about the next trip to KL.

  4. It has been quite sometime I didn't visit KL. The last time was back in 2014 but didn't do much sightseeing that time. Hope next time I visit, I wouldn't mind touring on a bus.
