As usual, I didn't sleep well on the first night. I managed to drift in and out of sleep between 2 am to 6 am and that is consider good. By 6 am, I was out of bed and half an hour later, we were ready to walk down to the beach. We took the narrow path next to the hotel building that leads to the beach.
I stopped to take this photo of the apartment we were staying in. The moonlight and lights from the nearby buildings lighted up the path for us.
It was a short walk and we passed by a few fishermen's huts and big trees to get to the beach.
No sign of sunrise yet. The straight lines on the beach are ropes from the fishing boats tied to the big trees.
As we came out to the open, we could see fishing boats on the water.
The only sound we heard was the waves lapping on the beach.
I noticed a lone man sitting in his boat.
He was waiting for his fishing companion to join him on the boat.
Some of the fishing boats have rainbow colours.
A simple fishing boat.
Fishing boats with flags
Trying to get a better close up view of the boats without getting my feet wet.
I can see a plastic chair in the boat.
We then walked to the right and saw a man walking on the sand. We couldn't go over from our side because we were separated by this stretch of water.
He picked seashells by the seashore....
High rise hotel buildings and apartments lined the shore. When I took this photo I didn't know that, that is the floating mosque of Tanjung Bungah, Penang.
Reflection of sunrise on the building.
I will share the sunrise photos on the next Skywatch Friday.
I have to tilt my head backwards to take a photo of this tall building towering over me.
Linking to Skywatch Friday.
O God, listen to my cry!
Hear my prayer! From the ends of the earth,
I cry to you for help when my heart is overwhelmed.
Lead me to the towering rock of safety, for you are my safe refuge,
a fortress where my enemies cannot reach me.
(Psalm 61:1-3, New Living Translation-NLT)
