Beef Noodles For Supper At Petaling Street, Kuala Lumpur.

On the 2nd night's of our stay in Kuala Lumpur, we all agreed on beef noodles for supper at Petaling Street. We relied on our young people to take us there. They know the way well and very soon we were seated under the open sky along a narrow pathway, waiting for our bowls of beef noodles.
Hubby and I shared a bowl of beef with rice vermicelli.
The beef slices and tripe were very tender.
This is the auntie preparing the beef noodles.
You can't miss this stall, it is at the entrance of a small side lane along Petaling Street.
After supper, we did a little walking and came upon "Family Mart", a Japanese convenience store franchise chain. We went in to take a look and ended up trying out these ice-creams. We like the matcha ice cream but the cheesecake ice cream taste is quite rich and needs getting use to for some of us.
Hubby bought a bar of Japanese chocolate to try.
 It is chocolate with cookies.
Below are some snapshots taken in Petaling Street and nearby areas.

It would be nice to hop on this bus for a city tour but we didn't have the time.

Curry Laksa At Madras Lane, Petaling Street.

Due to all the walking done on the first day, I slept soundly on the first night. I set the alarm to wake me up early so that I can take my time to go through my morning routine. I even had time to take some snapshots from my room window.
Sunrise and view from my hostel room.
Maybank tower on the left and KL tower in the centre.
Sun rising from behind the high rise buildings.
We have to go through Petaling Street to get to our breakfast destination.
After walking through the wet market, we have reached our destination.
Just look at all the ingredients for the Assam Laksa.
There are many breakfast choices to choose from.
Open air seating under the big umbrellas.
This is the famous Madras Lane Curry Laksa (curry noodle).
Generous portion of bean curd puffs, long bean and cockles.
The cockles all ended up in hubby's bowl.
Hubby's curry laksa with pork skin.
I really enjoyed the fried bean curd puffs (tau fo pok).
Don't know when will I get the chance to taste this delicious curry laksa again.
You need to squeeze the juice from one or two limes to the curry laksa for the extra oomph!
Some roast pork to go with the curry laksa.
You can add this to your bowl of curry laksa if it is not spicy enough.
A plate of "chee cheong fun" for those who doesn't like spicy food.
The black coffee here is good!
Walking to KL Wesley, the conference venue.
We had a full day conference session from 9 am to 4 pm.

Morning tea and lunch provided. For lunch we had chicken rice prepacked from The Chicken Rice Shop.

Being punished isn't enjoyable while it is happening - it hurts!

But afterwards we can see the result,

a quiet growth in grace and character.

So take an new grip with your tired hands,

stand firm on your shaky legs, and mark out a straight,

smooth path for your feet so that those who follow you,

though weak and lame, will not fall and

hurt themselves but become strong.

Delicious Laksa For Supper At Petaling Street.

It was a blessing to be in the company of some wonderful young adults who are almost half our age (hubby and I). And the best thing of all is that we all enjoy food! The topic on supper was being discussed even before we finished our dinner. After dinner which was about 7 pm, we walked back to our hostel to rest and by 9 pm plus, we were walking out to Petaling Street again. We knew what we wanted to eat and the young people led the way to this laksa stall. I didn't take a snapshot of the stall but I did remember to take snapshots of our bowl of yummy-licious laksa!
Hubby and I shared this bowl of Assam Laksa with a piece of crispy fried beancurd roll. Just look at the generous amount of fish meat.
Due to the poor lighting, the broth may not look good but in actuality, it was tasty.
Walking towards Petaling Street.
The night market is packed with tourists and locals.
Both sides of the street is lined with stalls set up by the vendors selling all kinds of stuffs.
We didn't buy anything from Petaling Street except looking for food. We left behind countless of footprints on Petaling Street during our 3D2N stay.

One of them was Lydia, a saleswoman from Thyatira,
a merchant of purple cloth. She was already a worshiper of God
and as she listened to us, the Lord opened her heart
and she accepted all that Paul was saying.

Dinner At Restoran Kim Lian Kee, Petaling Street.

We sat through the first session of the teaching conference with more than 500 participants. It was from 2 pm to 6 pm with a 30 minutes coffee break.
It started with a time of praise and worship to God.
After the session ended, we took the short cut to Petaling Street for our dinner.
The evening stalls were preparing to start their business.
Hubby and I were with a group of 5 young adults and they are good tour guides and great company.
We had our 1st dinner at Restoran Kim Lian Kee, 49, Jalan Petaling.
It was a busy place but we were able to find a table on the 1st floor.
While waiting for our dinner, I went to the window to take some snapshots.
A view on Petaling Street from the 1st floor of the restaurant.
Many were beginning to set up their stalls.
Pretty vase and porcelain container near the window.
A framed up picture of an old antique painting of Petaling Street in the old days.
Cute container for the spicy chili paste.
Hubby and I ordered the same dish. "Tai Lok" meen or Fat noodles with beef slices @ MYR 14.00 per plate. I enjoyed this noodle when I was working in Kuala Lumpur many years ago. This plate of noodle will last me till supper time later in the night. Lol!

Every day Jesus went to the Temple to teach,
and the crowds began gathering early in the morning to hear him.
And each evening he returned to spend the night on the Mount of Olives.
