A FOODIE ADVENTURE IN LAWAN KUDA, GOPENG.

A friend recommended this new eatery in Lawan Kuda surrounded by an ex-mining lake. So one evening few months back, hubby and I went to check out this place but the gate leading to the eatery was closed.

Last week, my retirees group wanted to try the Snakehead Fish (San Yu in Cantonese) wine soup in Lawan Kuda and we were ready to go!
A friend drove us all the way from Ipoh to Gopeng and then to Lawan Kuda.
The shop we wanted to go for lunch was closed. We were not worried because there are other good eateries we can go to.
Since we were in the same vicinity, we agreed to take a drive to check out this new lake view place in the Lawan Kuda village at Jalan Desa Cahaya.
The gate to this place was wide opened and we drove on this narrow pathway to check out the place.
This is the name of the recommended eatery.
We found out from a young man that the eatery only opens after 5pm.
The young man was very nice to show us around and we were free to take photos.
We were told that if we are to come around 5 to 5.30 pm and if the weather is good, we will get to see very beautiful sunset.
We were surrounded by a big lake with beautiful scenery.
The day we visited was hazy.
When evening comes, this place will be filled with dining tables and chairs.
The 3 partitioned areas are for rearing Tilapia fishes, both the red and black Tilapias for their business kitchen.
With the young man leading us, we carefully walked on the wobbling planks to see the fishes.
After the matured fishes were harvested from the lake, they will be placed in this concrete pool behind the kitchen.

This side is facing the new residential area.

Beautiful view of the distant hills, palm trees and reflection on the lake.
After we have obtained the contact number, we thanked the young man and it was time to leave for lunch in the little town of Lawan Kuda.

2 evenings later, we called up to book a table for 10 people.
God was indeed good to us and our new friends!
The moment we settled down at our table, there was a very heavy downpour!
While waiting for our dinner, hubby took some photos.
Black Tilapia fishes, freshly prepared and ready for steaming.
Dishes ready to be served.

Above all, my brothers and sisters, do not swear -
not by heaven or by earth or by anything else.
All you need to say is a simple "Yes" or "No."
Otherwise you will be condemned.
