Dinner At Sun Hup Kee Restaurant, Ipoh

One Friday evening, we went to Sun Hup Kee Restaurant for dinner. It has been a long time since we last had dinner here. We can only think of our favourites dishes which are also their signature dishes.
Fried chicken with flavourful soy sauce.
(Kong Cheen Kai in Cantonese)
Sting ray cooked in assam curry with tofu puffs and assorted vegetables.
This is a very appetizing dish.
Pumpkin fried in salted egg batter.
I saw the next table eating this and looks good.
Total cost of dinner for 4 people including rice and drinks - RM 74.40
There was an event held at one of the shopping mall.
Kiddies were allowed into this enclosure to touch and hold the chickens.
These chickens are so different from the common chickens.
We rarely get to see these chickens.
Kids were not afraid to hold or touch the chickens.
Buttercup flowers from my garden.
So good to see the bright yellow flowers amongst the green leaves.

Linking to Saturday's Critters.

For there are six things the Lord hates - no, seven:
haughtiness, lying, murdering, plotting evil,
eagerness to do wrong, a false witness,
sowing discord among brothers.
(Proverbs 6:16-19, The Living Bible-TLB)

Yummy Hunanese Lunch At Restaurant Yi Pin Xiang, Nilai

Thank God Almighty for smooth and safe flight back to Malaysia. Our plane arrived at KLIA2 - Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 on Monday early morning 12.55 am. Our friend and his son from Semenyih came to pick us from the airport. He had prepared a midnight or early morning snack of hot porridge and satay for us in his house. By the time we went to bed, it was about 3.00 am.

By the time everyone was awake the next day, it was around midday. It was time to go out looking for lunch. After circling around the place, we came upon this Chinese Restaurant Yi Pin Xiang in Nilai.
The restaurant is on the first floor.

It occupies 2 shop lots. A friend familiar with the menu did the ordering of food. Hunanese dishes was a first time for some of us.

We started with an appetizer - Fried Shredded Potato.

Steamed Rice - Sunwhite Fragrant Rice (Grade AAA), served in little cute bowls.

Deep Fried Salted Eggs Pumpkin in a basket, very tasty.

Hot Pot Pig's intestine.

Boiled Fish with Bean Sprout in Hot Chili Oil. Something different but it was quite oily and spicy.

On a closer look - Treasures of fish slices, soya bean sprouts, greens and lots of dried chili and Szechuan peppercorns, etc.

Fried Balsam Pear (Bitter Melon) with Salted Egg and Preserved Century Egg.

Steamed Chicken, sprinkled with some sauce, diced peanuts and sesame seeds and diced spring onions.

Boiled Shredded Tripes with Chili Oil.

Pumpkin Porridge - on the house.
We enjoyed this porridge very much, very suitable for a hot day. And we thank Jennifer, our friend for this yummy lunch treat.

The LORD is a friend to those who fear Him.
He teaches them His covenant.
My eyes are always on the LORD,
for He rescues me from the traps of my enemies.
