Last Thursday, we were invited to dinner by our friends. The restaurant chosen was The Best Restaurant, Jalan Yang Kalsom, Ipoh. There was a slight drizzle when we alighted from our car and fortunately, the rain stopped just before we left the restaurant. For this post, I only remember to snap 4 photos and forgot the rest of the dishes. There were 4 of us and we each ordered the soup of our choice.
Double Steamed Pumpkin Soup with Chestnuts and Rib Bones.
This is the first time I tasted this soup and I enjoyed it very much.
Hubby ordered pig's stomach soup.
We ordered fried rice and a fried noodle (no photo) to share.
Short rice noodle (loh shu fun) in claypot and blanched ladies fingers (no photo) to share. We also ordered 2 types of chilled sweet dessert (tong sui), also no photo to show. That evening, my mind was not focus on taking photos.
Orange firecracker flowers from my garden.
Took the above snapshot at the National Museum.
This is the first passenger coach used by the Federated Malay States Railways (FMSR) from Taiping to Port Weld in 1885.
All of us used to live that way, following the
passionate desires and inclinations of our sinful nature.
By our very nature we were subject to God's anger,
just like everyone else.
But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much,
that even though we were dead because of our sins,
he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead.
(It is only by God's grace that you have been saved!)
